First, met up with Sw. As usual, I was late. We were supposed to meet at the interchange. It was swarming with surveyors and she didn't want to be approached. So as each minute passed, chances of being approached also increased. I think Sw wanted to skin me alive cause she had to stay in an area far far away. Haha... Whoops!
Took the bus to meet Cf. Yakking non stop till the bus was about to reach Beach Road. We were talking bout those tang yuen (glutinous rice balls) and the peanut soup. Sw suddenly also mentioned bout the char kway teow there. So I suggested that we pressed the bell and go satisfy cravings. So impromtu. The bus was actually only few meters away from the bus stop. Haha...
So we walked over to the hawker centre and ordered:

Tang yuen & Char kway teow

The special thing about this char kway teow is that I can safely eat without worrying that I'll bite into lard. They don't use lard. I also didn't get to eat any chinese sausage so not sure if the ikan bilis is meant to replace it. It is also special because it has vegetables. So much vegetables.
We headed over to Suntec to buy our picnic stuff from Carrefour. Buying chips and drinks, pizza and baked potato. They always got so much sample to offer when you walk pass. So after buying and all that, we proceeded over to Esplanade to picnic while waiting for the fireworks.
View of the CBD area...

Check out the boat. It moves damn slow that the sky turn so dark, it just moved that little bit.

After a while more, it moved a bit more but the sky is also much darker.

Finally gone from sight. But look how dark it became.

Just kidding lah... Those were different boats. Just happened to notice the movement thing so decided to make fun of it.
Love the lights...

Announcement: "Searching for Bad Man! SEARCHING FOR BAD MAN!!!"
"Your help is needed. Please check if anyone tried to jump into the river"

Buahahaa... Ok lah, I was just bored while waiting for the fireworks so I decided to use Py's slippers there. She said she will kill me if I accidentally dropped it in to the river below.
I thought it was at 7pm. Some thought it was at 7.30pm. Some guessed it was gonna be at 8pm. Darn it lah... It was at 8pm. We waited so long just to find a good spot, hoping that we can get a clear view of the fireworks. Unfortuantely, the place where they let the fireworks off, was blocked by part of Esplanade's outdoor stage.
Some of my best shots. I didn't take video cause my camera can only take to a maximum length of 3 minutes per video. Enjoy...

I must say the fireworks was nice. But most of the time, I was looking at it through my digi cam's screen, hoping to get a nice shot of it. After that, we sat that to yak further and finish up our food.
Then it was snapping of pictures, pictures and more pictures.
Me holding a flower balloon which drifted our way while we were having picnic. Since it wasn't anybody's we took it to give it to Sw's brother.
