I'll be leaving for Singapore soon. Flight takes off at 7am and its at JB's airport.
My sleeping time is usually bout 2am. I take about 1.5-2hours to get ready. We're leaving at 4am. So I don't have to sleep tonight.

I can even offer to morning call auntM.

Ohh... Finally, I can tell the adults, "welcome to my nocturnal world." Hahaha...

The Dumbest Interview

Had another interview today. I think this is the dumbest interview I've gone through so far. Well, actually, I just think the interviewer is just plain silly.

I went there, filled in the form and waited for someone to interview me. So, was interviewed by this lady, I didn't even ask for her name. I don't know if she is trying to act sassy or be gentle or whatever lah. But hello, please speak at an audible level. Then, she kept on flipping her hair as though she is in some MTV. Anyway throughout the interview, she asked my age like 3 times, even though I wrote it down and she kept on repeating it to herself over and over again. Then she asked me why I wanted to get into this line. I replied.

She asked where I studied, I told her, then she said, "oh so you know PA? Were you taught by him?" Then... She carried on with the interview. Asking if I can take criticism, of course I'd say can right? But I think she wasn't convinced. I think she wanted to test me. She started to criticize everything As in really everything, from my thesis makeovers to my portfolio, to even my dressing.

First was the portfolio. She was crticizing the false lashes of being too dramatic. True lah, it is too drama for that look. So I said, But the school only sells that kind of lashes, and they say its very nice. So since she knows my teacher, she didn't want to condemn the lashes anymore. She decided to say, "Then you should have cut it."

Next was the thesis, as she was flipping through, she commented that the hair shouldn't be down. Like hello, some people's face bigger, or got high forehead, of course they want some fringe to cover right? Ok.. I admit there are those flyaway strands which should be combed down with mousse, but then those people who I did on were not really willing to. So never mind.

Last was her saying bout my dressing. I must say, this is also the part that convinced me that even if she calls me back to go down for the second interview, I wouldn't go. Not that I can't accept whatever she said. But I felt that it was more like a personal attack than a test for threshold of bullshit.
She: "I think you should change your style."
Me: "My style?"
She: "Yes."
Me: "What do you mean by my style?"
She: "Your clothes, personal grooming."
Then she looks at me from head to toe before saying something which I felt like slapping her on the spot.
She: "Ohhh... Actually you are in all black hor? Ok lah, black is very safe."
Wahh so she is asking me to change my style even before she sees what I wear. That is just stupid lah...

After realising the blunder she just said which I feel is totally unprofessional, she looks down and continues to look through my thesis makeovers. I did mention that she spoke really softly right? But when it came to this part, she raised her voice in a tone that sounded like she is in shock and disgust.
She: "EHHH... THIS IS 60'S MAKE UP MEH? ARE YOU SURE???"
Me: "Yes I'm sure."
She: "60's make up is the thin eyebrows mah. 70's then is the thick one."
Me: "Actually, 60's is the thick, 70's is the thin."
She: "Ohh ya hor... Ya the blue colour."
Wow.. she changes the topic really quick after realising her yet another blunder.

After the interview, I was supposed to meet Yl. Had bout an hour to kill. I went to look for Cas. So I was tellin her bout my interview. She asked how much they offered. After telling her, she replied, "SIAO! You're mad if you accept that job. For all the bullshit you gotta take, after deducting CPF, its not worth."

Extractions The Worst

Went for facial today. Wahh liao... I still hate extractions. Its damn pain and I'm damn tempted to try Clarin's facial which claims they do not perform extractions to remove those darn pimples and blackheads. But of course, at a whopping cost of $115 per session.

Anyway, after the hated part was over and done with, it was just relaxing time. I actually fell asleep there.

Dinner was good. Bee hoon, carrot cake and sambal stingray. Good stuff.

Went to Ade's house to collect my box of cookies. She made them for me cause I've been bugging her to make for me. Hiak hiak...

Vienna + Ben & Jerry's = Sinful

Since Yh is such a BJ fan, we decided to go for it. But not before we went to Vienna for international buffet.
The spread there is just W.O.W.!
Lots of variety like sushi, sashimi, buddha jump over wall, ginseng chicken soup, Crocodile soup (Shnappi soup.. hahaha..), cereal prawns, herbal prawns, steamed prawns, roast beef, stewed beef, black pepper crab, abalone rice, aiyo.. too many to name.

That is just one side of the food. There's still a section for dessert and stuff.
I think the seats are way cool... Very nice hor? Hahahaa...
Actually at the wall, there's a sign which states no camera. But I didn't realised it until I uploaded the pics on my com.

Ohh.. They had the test tube drinks too!! Hahaha..
Here I am, demostrating a lesson on density. Aloe vera sinks in grape juice. But floats in apple juice. Thus I conclude, apple juice is more densed than grape juice.

Ok crapping..

We had our cone. Being cheapos Since its so nice, we went back for another. Hahaha... The strawberry cheescake is seriously the best among the different brands. I got 1 thick huge cakebase lor. As in like 3cm long. That is powerful stuff.

Then we went shopping for a while before splitting. I went to godma's place to visit grandma, as well as to stay for dinner. Maxie is a clever dog.. Greedy one too.

Movie Black Night

Met up with Yh for movie and dinner. We've got the voucher from GV. I thought it was $2.50 for each ticket. (Yeh yeh... I tod, I tod a putty cat) Its actually $2.50 off regular price. But somehow, my eyes chose to read the text selectively.
Anyway, its still cheap lah. $4.50 for the show, Black Night.

Then we went to have dinner, wahh.. budget again. My pasta came free cause I redeemed the loyalty chops. We also entitled to redeem a dessert and we tried the banana pizza. Hahahaaa...
Our meal is cheap right?
Since we had a lot of time to kill, we decided to take pictures... I think the people at the other tables thought we are mad.


Thats not all, we went to take those neoprints machines (its name 10years ago, now I don't know what's its called) to take pictures.
Well, the budget way again lah. We used digi cam.
But hey, the effect and shots turned out great!


Then it was movie time...
Black Night is 3 short movies made into 1 movie. They similiarity they had, all had people dying in water (can't say drowning cause the 2nd one was having their eyeballs sucked out by a water creature).
First was a Hong Kong love gone sour storyline. Typical lah..
Second was a Japanese "imaginary" creature which protects the one who belives in it and kills those who don't. The creature somehow reminded me a bit of godzilla.
Third was a Thai story which started with a gory scene and ended with a happy scene. Where you see the cute and innocent boy, would actually turn out to be the evil one and all that sort. It plays with the mind. Thats why, I like Thai scary movies.

I've always wanted to try watching a scary movie and then a scene so scary comes up, and I'll just throw up whatever is in my hands. Too bad, I've never watched a movie scary enough for me to do that.

ANYWAY, today I've experienced it. But I was the one who had popcorn thrown over me. All thanks to who? Yh lah...
I never watched the trailer, read synopsis nor reviews of the show. I don't even know what's it about. But somehow, before the movie started, I had this feeling that I should let her hold the popcorn instead of the nachos and cheese.

Its damn hillarious to be engrossed in the movie, eyes glued on the screen and suddenly, popcorn comes snowing down.

Hahaha... I seriously couldn't stop laughing even though its supposed to be a scary scene.
I am and can be very sadistic sometimes.
Wheee.. Its raining corn.. Alleluia...

Speaking of alleluia, we went to the toilet and took this pic.

ECP Cycling

I think I'm damn blur... Seriously.
Was supposed to attend mass. I reached church at 9am, then I was thinking to myself, whats the occassion? How come all lights off, just a handful of people sitting inside only. Is mass cancelled? Then bro came and then we found out that it starts at 9.30am.

Never mind, at least I'm early. Very early.

Came back after mass and feeling bored. Ym went online so we made arrangements to go cycling to explore some routes, provided it doesn't rain. Then plans changed cause her parents wanted to ECP to blade. Asked if I wanna go there instead, so that was set.

On the way to her house, I noticed this woman.

I was cycling along that path and there were people infront of me deliberately walking slowly. So even ringing the bell, they refused to move, so made me stop and move damn slow also. So I got to see what they were doing. They stopped to chat with her and pass her stuff.

Don't think she's just sitting around there resting. She's actually working.
As? Illegal bookie lor...
How do I know? Cause another guy from behind walked up to her and also stopped to chat and pass her those 4D slips.


Anyway, loaded up the bikes and off we went to ECP.

Haha.. We cycled the entire stretch of ECP to and fro.

Busy Day

Went back to collect my results and certs. Ehh... They couldn't find my 1 of my certs. Lucky its not the main one. Saw the breakdown of my overall results. I'm happy and sad at the same time.

Happy cause at least my efforts for my thesis paid off. 15% out of 20%. I thought based on what I did, my marks will be low cause I felt it was crappy. Hahahaa..
Maybe I've got high expectations. Ohh well...

Sad cause just another 2% more to get 75% then I can get credit. If only they had the moderation curve like those in poly or whatever schools. 2% leh... Tui lor...
I think they marked quite strictly. Cause only 1 person got credit.


Met up with Cf, Py, Sw, Von, Ym for Pepper Lunch. The food was quite nice.
But the smell left lingering on the clothes and hair after that wasn't. I felt like I just came out of a kitchen.

Walked around to window shop. Then I decided to check my Lancome points before they expire.
Ayee.. Friend working there. Hahahaa.. Anyway, she let me redeem my stuff even though I'm short of like 35 points. Still gave me 1 tube of facial wash, supposed to be sample but its quite huge. So I think that can last me quite a while. Then after that, decided to take another tube and throw it into my bag. And, 1 mascara sample, very convenient for travelling.

Went to Xl's bday party after that. A lot of people... Think we were labelled as anti-social cause we kept on going to the room to entertain ourselves. Only emerging when its time to cut cake and all that. Haa.. K, never mind.
On another note, I think samosas are nice.
One more bday party over, makes me wonder what I want to do for mine.

Interviews

I went back to school, (NP that is) to collect my transcript. I didn't really want to make a trip down cause I wanted to go and collect both transcript and diploma at the same time. But just in case when I go down for interview, I need to show, I had no choice but to make the trip down.

Went for the first interview. I'm quite keen on this one, but then, the brand manager isn't around so the interviewer said will call me back. *Cross fingers*

Second interview, I'm not too keen lah. My friend told me there isn't much prospects to it. Now I also realised. Its basically selling skincare probably 97% of the time. Yet I'm given low pay; same as people who don't have make up cert. So I see no point.

I would rather get low pay given my lack of experience for something which has more make up. At least there is room for progress. Sign bond, I don't mind. At least I learn stuff from there and I would be guaranteed a job for a year.


Next was Xl's chalet. Today's not the actual party. Its just check in and go use the 2hrs free ktv voucher. I wanted to come home and rest after that. But the rain was so heavy, I was stuck there. BBQ also couldn't start. So I had no choice but to fill myself up on chips and chewy fish strips.

Silly Me

Last night went to cycle to chit chat again. Hahaha.. Such regulars.

Anyway, I went to call up a few companies for jobs.
I called one which is a rather well known brand.
Then...
I forgot if I left my number with them after I put down the phone or not.
Smack me please!
So If I'm not shortlisted, maybe I know why. Then I'll wait for friend to start work and intro me in if by then I'm still jobless.

Tomorrow 2 interviews, now cheonging to place my portfolios and stuff in order. I'm only keen on 1 of it though. There is one I know got not much prospects. But then, I still will go down and take a look.

Kitties Around My Block

These two cats have been together at my void deck since yesterday.

This one is damn nua. The day before, it was sitting on this high chair (cushioned somemore) and watching the world go by. I didn't take a pic of it cause my hands were full.
Yesterday, it was in the letter box area, leaning against the tiles. Hissing away at the other black one as though to scoff it cause it was trying to get my attention. Hahaha..

Ohh... I just came back from cycling. After fixing up the front lights, bell, cushioning the seat which Bro bought. I just couldn't resist going out for a ride.

Hmm, not to mention, its dry! Despite the heavy rain earlier on in the evening.

Money & Movies

Met up with Ade for dinner.

Ohh.. I managed to sell my hp. The Samsung one. I couldn't really bear to part with it. The colour display and all, beats my current hp. Anyway I sold it off for a 100 bucks.
Managed to close a double deal on auction as well. Actually, I only didn't like one of it. The other was seldom wear but still will wear, I was just trying my luck on auction. Didn't know someone would really be interested in it. Hahaha... Anyway, just part with it lor, not much difference to me.

I didn't get my Kinder Surprise. Its not worth the price to get it knowing that the surprise would be some Doraemon in various actions. I'm not a fan of the the robotic kitty.
But I got Kinder Bueno instead.

Went to Ade's house to watch 'Along Came Polly' and 'Daddy Day Care'. There's this part in 'Along Came Polly' where Jennifer Aniston does the salsa dance. I recognized some of the moves!
I wanna continue my salsa! But I don't think its possible at this point of time. =(

Happy Easter!~

Ooo... Its raining heavily outside. Such nice weather to be enjoying the cool breeze while I'm indoor. Hahaha.. I feel like sleeping. But I just took a nap while it was still dry and warm.
Darn.. What a waste of the cool weather.

Anyway, last night, I went up to Godparents' house to visit Grandma who is recovering from the knee op there. Dinner was a feast. Meaty feast. There were 5 kinds of meat alone (pepper pork, roast chicken, duck, pork and sweet sour pork). Porky meal. Still got rojak, vege and soup.

Silly Maxie dog kept on scratching me to carry her. But I ignored. Hahaha...
Then she started to nibble on my fingers to get my attention. Again I ignored. Lalala...

Wahh.. 2 nights in a row, I've been going night cycling. Both nights were all last minute decisions. Well, not exactly night cycling lah.
Its just cycle at night to location to chit chat and gossip then cycle back.
Not bad leh, last night 6 of us all made it. Plus guest appearance by JW, also from SJAB. And Sw's bf who was awfully quiet.

I think night cycling is fun. Not so much vehicle traffic on the roads and human traffic on the pavements. Then its also cool and I won't get a tan.


Today's Easter sunday. Went to church. It was freezing inside. Not to mention, crowded also.
I want an Easter egg... Maybe I should just go and buy a Kinder Surprise and pass that off hor?
K.. Set! If it stops raining and I go out, I'll get myself an Easter egg.

Had A Good Friday?

Went to church. I had to stand outside for like more than 2 hours cause it was crowded!

After church, went for dinner at this vegetarian restaruant at the opposite side of the road.
We ordered this tempura mushrooms, curry fish, cereal prawns and some vege. The vege, nothing special lah. But the tempura mushrooms were nice, very soft and juicy on the inside, with a layer of crisp outside. Curry fish was very tasty, I didn't know they can imitate fish so well, right down to the shape and texture. Ohh the cereal prawns were fabulous. They were so generous with the cereal and not to mention, the prawns really felt like prawns. There was this springy bouncy feeling like the real things.
The curry was yummy. Or maybe I was just really hungry. Regardless. This combo's lethal. I ended up finishing one plate of rice.

Dad wanted to send me back even though it was just a short walk away. Then as I was getting out, I sort of jumped out to the road. Landing with both feet on the ground at the same time.
What the hell... I think I kena some static shock or something. The ground was wet after the rain and I came out from a cold place. I think its static. Its pain but I still managed to walk home.

Oh then I went to meet up with Cf, Ym & Von. Cycled there.. Freaky leh... How come tonight got so many mentally unsound people suddenly popping out of nowhere?
The first was when I was cycling there. This uncle was standing at the stairs, I was cycling on the pavement. He saw me approaching, he walked towards the pavement and stood there. After I passed him, he started shouting and rambling some stuff... I don't know what he was saying but I just ignored.
Sw came to join us also. Then when we were leaving after that, suddenly this old man popped out from again I don't know where and kept on shouting over and making the peddling motion with his hands.

Somemore both old men.. Aiyo.. Woodbridge too full?

Thumped Again

Last night we were supposed to sort of give a farewell celebration to Irene, cause she's going get married and leaving Sg for good.
End up leh? She didn't turn up. So it was only left with me, Pumpkini & Jor, again!
I read the sign properly. Ladies 23, guys 28.

Wasn't as fun as the last time. Think it was the crowd. Too many people. Keep on bumping into people.
Towards the end, I was having this super pissed off face. Why? Cause I was standing next to the platform (not on but next). Then, these 2 ladies were using the pole on the platform to swing around happily. Wheee... Very fun hor? Then kept on banging onto my back. Or they will try to do the bend back thing, or try to act sexy and swing their hair around, slapping me. Making me more irritated.
I think got one, kept on banging her ass on Pumpkini's head while swinging like a monkey.
Oh yes, I was irritated to the extend that I did not hesitate to elbow her. She got the hint and went away.

Leaving that space empty. Then one guy saw the empty space and decided that it was his turn to shine. He was wearing this denim jacket initially. Then he took it off and tied it around his waist. Wah liao... Want to wear then wear lah. Tie on the waist for what??? Ohh... I know, tie it there so that the jacket can swing around while he shakes his bon bon and it will keep brushing against people standing near the platform (ie. ME).

Anyway it was seriously getting way too crowded. So we left.

Ohh ya... Never ever ever order wine when you're not drinking to appreciate wine.
1) You don't add ice to the drink. (Undiluted)
2) When left there it will return to room temperature. (Easier to get drunk when the alcohol evaporates faster)
Well... those two reasons are enough lah. Don't believe can always go try it ya?

But anyway, I wasn't drunk lah. Just hyper. Still very much aware of what was going on around me.
Still very much alert as to calculate that amount of wine untouched would be a waste of money.
Thus, I brought the bottle back home. Hahahaaa...

Met up with Yh for the 2nd time this week. Had Swensen's. My first and only meal of the day. But it was filling!

We wanted to go take the id photo, "chased" some kids out of the booth only to find out that its out of service. Wah liao...

Went to the hospital. Grandma's stay has been extended due to some pain. They took away the menu leh. They don't allow patients to choose the food. Wth...

Cut It

Woke up with an urge to do something which I haven't done in a long time.
Hair cut...

As I walked into the salon, I still didn't know what I want.
Sat down in the chair, still don't know.
I told the her to recommend me some looks. And so she did. "Very layered hair?"
"Ok!" Then after realising that that may end up quite short, I asked, "so how short will it be?"
She flicked up my hair and showed how much she would cut off. At least 2.5inches, ok lah, at least its still around shoulder length.

When all was done, its rather shorttttt... But not bad lah, I like.

Went to the hospital again. Dinner time so I went to buy more food for grandma to eat.
Food came and grandma insisted that I try the curry fish. So I tried the hospital food and my my, I must say, its not bad leh!
As in seriously, it tastes like those kind of curry you get when you buy prata.
Got standard leh!

Sushi Buffet

Met up with Yh. Booked my driving. Well, not exactly, more like register as a student. Then I have to go through the theory lessons first before booking the trial theory. Have to pass the trial before I can book the actual. Meantime, I can't start prac also cause they said need to wait 1.5months.
For what? I don't know. Not sure its whether slots all taken up already or its just a procedure.

Went for Suki Buffet at Cine. We made our money worth. I just realised that its easier to hit target if you get them to clear the plates instead of piling them up at the side.
She has a motor mouth. Like, how can anyone chomp those peas while having a normal conversation?
That aside, we also had 6 plates of fruits.

went out with jeSSICA my secret admirer ( you know you are, please no denying ). we went to sukieeeeeee sushi buffet, & i discovered her v v appalling idiosyncracies. including her alter ego which is believed to be from an ancient part of australia. custom is very weird where she comes from. like, she'd take a bite of honeydew, then drop it. cos ' its tradition '. she is a suspected case of schizophrenia. cos at night she began rambling in indian accent. like, wery wery heawy accent. yes.

Went to visit grandma, she came along as well. Bought her some fruit juice since it wasn't very early anymore.
Grandma was complaining bout the boring porridge each day. So we went to change her menu for tomorrow's meals.

Went to the hospital after going for mass. Hmm.. yeh been shuttling to and fro the hospital like everyday already.
Grandma can eat today. But I didn't expect it, so I didn't buy anything for her. Whoops...

Lunch was kway chap with tau pok, tau gua and kiam chai. Side dish was this fried carrot cake sticks. I think this is the only place which sells this. I've never seen any other place in Sg selling that even after eating this since I was a kid. Too bad, didn't bring camera so no pic of it.

Had desserts for tea before shopping around the mall. Aunt was drawn to some facial products which was having a road show. Provided free "facial". But I wasn't a bit interested.
Surprising eh?
Well, maybe cause I see the girls do, I also scared to let them do my face.
They drag the skin! And that's what I hate.
So I just sat there watching.

I Got A Pooh Badge

After coming back from the hospital, Cf, Py & Ym were supposed to come play mahjong. By the time Py came over and we waited for the other 2, we decided that we should just change plans and head for supper.

Went to this Hong Kong Cafe which is opened 24hrs on weekends.
Some mango ice cream.. Forgot the name.

Bo lu bun or something like that. Heh.. We ate this while Ym went to cycle to get Von out for supper.

Ordered baked rice with fish and some curry noodles. Forgot to take pic cause we were busy yakking away.
Anyway, the foods not that fantastic.


Off to the hospital in the afternoon. I went to buy a lot of kuehs for her.

Reached there and she was sleeping soundly.
Grandma having an afternoon nap despite the noise in the room? Must be extremely tired or didn't have a good sleep at night.

Couldn't bear to wake her up. Went to buy a magazine to read quietly by her bedside.
Ohhh yes! I got the Pooh bear badge! Finally, after so many tries. Hee...

I thought she would have good appetite like yesterday. But she couldn't eat any at all.
Haiyo then I had to bring a lot of it back.

Dad drove to this hawker centre, I circled around to see what was nice. Finally settled for char kway teow which wasn't that fantastic. But the sambal stingray was good! The stall sells stingray, chicken wings and satay. 3 items only. Anyway, the stingray was cooked just right. Moist and juicy! The sambal was hot!!! Shiok sia.. Ha! Then dad ordered this fish soup where the soup based was like those steamboat kind of fish soup. Very good. I kept on drinking his soup. Hahahaha..

The Long Wait

Grandma's scheduled for an op.

I was offered a 1 day job yesterday. But I turned it down cause I thought that I should go down to the hospital to wait for grandma after the op.

Then after I turned it down, I was told that the op was rescheduled.
Immediately got the sian to the core feeling. I could have earned some good money and still visit her after that.
Wat's up doc?

Then we waited and waited and waited. Still can go for dinner and still had to carry on waiting before we got a chance to see her out of the recovery room.

Surprise surprise, she was still so chatty after an op.

Wish grandma a speedy recovery. =)

The Curse & Forgetfulness

Met up with Vi today.

I am seriously under some puntuality curse. As in seriously. There is like this force working against me. Its not within my control. Here is why I think so.
I'm supposed to meet Vi at 3pm, MSQ. At 2.30pm, I still wasn't ready and soon enough, it started to rain damn heavily. So we were like ok, shall change meeting to 4pm. Then just as I was about to leave home (my bag all at the door and I'm ready to step out), my hp rang, dad called. Asked me to type some urgent documents to fax it to another party. So... I had to turn on the com and wait for it to start up. Time was ticking and I was getting irritated.

I quickly typed the document and printed it out to fax over. Is it really that hard to fax documents? I don't know what the other party's fax machine is for leh. Ok.. I can understand that some people may double off the same line for calls and fax. So first time, they pick up the phone, I can hear all the "hello?" over the fax. Second time also same thing. Till the 5th time also picking up. Can't they hear its a fax and leave it alone so that the fax can go through? Ohh then when I tried again, I think they didn't put their phone properly. So I couldn't get through at all. I was getting really pissed cause I just spent the last 10minutes wasting on faxing just 1 document.

So yes, clearly this isn't my fault that I deliberately wanted to be late. Its unforseen event with an unfortunate outcome. Sickening..

Anyway, after meeting up with Vi, we went to watch Ice Age 2. I love comedies. The lamer the more entertaining. Haha... Eh... Ok lah, I'm easily entertained. Scary shows also can laugh at the lame scenes.
Then she insisted on eating Crystal Jade. So we went to Suntec for dinner. Heng I don't have to bother about the silly parsley thing. She loves them all, the more the merrier to her.
Thank goodness.

Walking around with nothing much to shop. Don't really have the urge to shop today cause I'm trying to build my funds. Heh...

Then we went to Cartel after 9pm, they have the cakes going at 50% off. So I thought it would be fun to take away the cake and sit by the Esplanade to enjoy it together with the sea breeze. Wahhh liao... I didn't know the 50% thingy only applies to dine in. If I had known, I probably skip it. Hahaha...

So we sat there yakking away and eating my cake amidst those lovely dovey couples and familes.
Ya... Yakked till there wasn't any train back if I were to switch train lines. So we decided to just cab back.

Ohhh ya... Our main intention today was so that I can pass her the nail polish. Then, I realised I forgot to bring it out when I met her.

A silly conversation between Yh and me.
Yh: hey i got poofed! might as well. i shall attempt sleep hahah. night babe (: my craving for buns no more already, strange.
Me: Ah? No more cravin? Den no more food fight? Tragic. Anyway goodnight. (The food fight is a fight where i'll buy a bun to slap her with. Or maybe a french loaf to smack her. Then she'll buy tarts to throw at me. Yes, it will be messy. Hahhahaa...)
Yh: food fight of course must continue. unless you hum. eh do you feel like jap food? (: soon? not tmr cos got stuff.
Me: Jap buffet? Or alaC? I was bugging my friend to go for buffet but she went with her friend some time ago.
Yh: .. then never ask me! i'm saddened. quick ask. give you last chance. don't say no mercy.
Me: Eh.. But u sked me first. So u wanted to date me. Not the other way round. Anyway, go which jap place?

OH.. Tonight I'm gotta sleep on the couch. I thought it was a sunny day so I went to wash my bedsheets. Not long after I hung my sheets to dry, the sky turned dark and there wasn't any sun. Then it started to rain.
Wah liao... Had to close windows. No sun, no wind! How to dry my sheets?!?!?!?

Cooking Delights

Cooked dinner again. This time was more elaborate then yesterday's. I invited Grandma over to teach me how to cook ginger chicken and supposingly hiam bak (chilli pork). But dad thought it was too many dishes cause I'll also be attempting cereal prawns, I told her we'll just stick to the prawns and chicken.

She called in the morning and told me she got the leaves for my cereal prawns so I don't have to go and search for it already. And, bought pork so she'll be bringing over to cook.

So before we started, I was like weighing each and almost every item. But the problem with pro chefs is that they don't go by the book. Everything is up in their head.
So when I ask her, how much of this and that to put in?
The answer I get is just put a bit. But, how much is that bit?

Then I took out the weighing machine, spoons and stuff to measure. She was laughing at me cause when she is about to like do each step, I'll be like, "WAITTTTT!!! Measure first."
Oh well... The silly things I do.

Anyway this is what she cooked.

Immediately after she cooked, she was like, "girl want to try some?" The moment I took a piece of that piping hot (temperature) meat, I was hooked! Although its supposed to be chilli pork, it wasn't that hot (spicy), unlike those outside. She didn't make it that spicy cause she has this impression that I can't really take spicy food.
So she was amazed when she saw this...

There were 2 plates of the meat. I finished half of one of the plate.. Erm... Within 30 minutes, alone.
See the spoon there... It was like calling out to me to use it to scoop the meat and pop it into my mouth.
What was I to do? It was so nice leh... Did I mention piping hot? Yes I did.. But I have to mention it once more.

Cooked under the guidance of grandma.
Result turned out not bad, but could have been nicer with more ginger.
The gravy's good especially if its drizzled on top of rice.

Saute mushroom meant for my baked potatoes.

They're so good you can even eat it on its own.
But after mixing with my Twice baked potatoes, the taste just kinda clashed. =(
It was those mushrooms used in those typical chinese dishes. In this case, east doesn't go well with west.
Never mind... There will be a next time.

But... I actually forgot to take a pic of the pototoes before almost all were finished. Then this was actually the left over and already placed in the container to keep. But its not nice to just cut it for a pic cause I was leaving it for Bro to try.
So I'll just make do with that pic.

Omelette which was the remaining ingredient of the cereal prawns.

Its actually not that much lah. But I just went to take it in such a way that it looks like there's a lot.

Then... My very first attempt of frying cereal prawns...

It wasn't too bad, neither was it fantastic. Prawns were good cause they were not overcooked and still springy despite being shelled. But I was trying to save on butter. So the cereal wasn't crispy.
I will definitely try it again cause I still have a big tin of cereal left. Perhaps I could do a variation.
Cereal fish? Cereal chicken? Cereal ____?

To provide my invited food critics with a full meal, I went to buy kiwi, ice cream and ice cream puffs. But the meal was so filling, they raised their white flag after the kiwi.

I love to grill fish. They are so easy to make and eat. Well... Fillet ones that is. They have no bones and ya.. thats the draw point. No BONES! Yes... I'm a lazy bones. (Pun intended)

Participated In A Marathon

Disturbed Ade from her sleep so that she'll accompany me to satisfy craving of mee rebus at the kopitiam. I think the mee rebus from this stall is superb! Its thick and tasty. But its always sold out very quickly. Today wasn't any different. It was selling fast. I was lucky enough to have the second last bowl of it.
*Grins*

Went for mass which was extremely long. The priest kinda lost me midway.

Met up with Clarine, Coleen & Lynn for a marathon.
Yes, an energy draining marathon.
This is a long awaited day which we have been talking about ever since 2 years back when we went to watch the movie Shutter together. We wanted to have a horror movie marathon but never got the chance to.

Co drove to pick us up from our homes.
Her sms yesterday was, "Tmr noon i'm gonna come pick u girls up from ur hses...(other info)."
Wah liao...
Which I replied that she sounded like a mamasan.

We took almost 2 hours just to decide on the DVDs we wanted to rent, what snacks to buy then going back to Co's place to start our marathon. We actually rented 6 DVDs but only watched 4. The 2 we didn't watch due to lack of time were Constantine and Poltergeist.

First up, we saw Saw.
Stupid conversations...
"Hey wanna see Saw?"
"Ohh... I saw Saw already."
"Hey I wanna see Saw 2."

Anyway since I watched the show before already, I could happily eat my KFC chicken and still turn and see their (Co's & Lynn's) reactions which never fails to crack us up. Even when the scene is really disgusting or what, me & Clar will be like laughing (at them and at the scene).

Second movie was Saw 2. I think Saw 2 is more sadistic than the first. But I don't mind sadistic shows... Hahahaa...

Third movie was Exorism Of Emily Rose. It wasn't as scary as I imagined it would be. Anyway it was more on the trial of the priest so there were like more courtroom scenes.

Fourth and final movie was Taxi. To keep us sane after watching 3 horror movies. Its a damn funny show. Especially when watching it with Clar. She laughs at the funny things, I'll be laughing too. But I'm also laughing at the way she laughs.

During the duration of the marathon, Co would be like crawling on the floor trying to stretch for the remote, food or something. Then we'll be like, "Co! Stop it lah... You're not in Saw and there isn't any chain on ur ankles!" But I think she was rehearsing for Saw 3 audition.

OH yes... Within these 4 movies, we finished, Meiji yogurt, 1 bag of Lay's Original, 1 bag of Hot & Spicy potato chips, KFC (6pc chic, nuggets, mash potato, coleslaw - set for 3), 2 boxes of mochi, had some cheesie blueberry ice cream. My goodness...
AND... We went for prata at Jalan Kayu after that. Where we ordered Indian Rojak, Tissue Paper (Tissue Prata and Paper Prata), Plaster Prata, Cheese Prata, Plain Prata.
My idea cause Clar was like speaking in the Indian accent and I suddenly thought of the prata.

Ok... Eyes tired... Sleeping time.

FREEEEE!!!

I've officially completed my course! Hahahaa...

I'm damn elated now even though I only clocked 3 hours of sleep.
I was trying to sew my pants. Its too long and the tailor I went to said I could only get it by next week. So... I tried to diy and fold and just sew the sides. I don't sew. I suck at it. Either I poke myself or I end up with ugly thread lines. Anyway, because its just hard to measure my own length myself, I had to go through a trial and error process with agarism. I had to sew, re-sew, re-sew and re-sew each side so many times. Haiyo...

So when it was finally time for bed, I was horribly tired.
6am when Grandma morning called me, I didn't even know. I answered but I had no idea at all. I thought she didn't call. So by 6.45am I was up eating breakfast, I was still wondering if she forgot to call or what. It was only until I checked my call list did I realised that she had already called.

Anyway, I met Py then we went to school. Saw the examiner... Ooo... Reality starting to set in. What if I can't get the look? What if the examiner wants us to do the look I'm not that confident in? I think I would just died right there on the spot.

I was the 2nd group. So when the first group was inside, teacher gave us a tip that it would be the suntan look. Since the examiner wasn't local. I wasn't really sure of her definition of suntan look. In SG, the girls could have the sunkissed-beach girl look or the bronzer chao tah look. I went with the former. Don't know right or not lah. Py would like keep a lookout for me in case the examiner comes and there I am, trying to skip step. Hahaha...
Anyway, 30mins was damn rushed. I couldn't really finish in time. But last minute smack on everything. Sighhh...

Breakfast at Mac while waiting for 3rd group to do 1st look and 1st group to start 2nd look. Then we came back for the 2nd look. Was some dramatic look and I was like slapping on lots of colour and glitter. It wasn't really holding on well on the eye so it was dropping on the cheeks. Had to keep a lookout for the examiner cause when she was about to come over, I'll quickly dust it away to like make it look neater mah... This look we had 40mins but I learnt my lesson and skipped step. So even before times up, the examiner had already started walking around to mark, I was more or less ready. :)

Upon completion of that look, also signifies that I've completed my course.
