Ooo... My last post for this year!

Had to work in the morning. Yawnnnzzz!!

Some stupid bitch of a customer insisted that I lied to her. Damn it... I was being like nice to call her up and inform her that the item she wanted to reserve would not be coming in, what came in was another item. She didn't answer the phone and insisted that I didn't call her. When I gave her the date I called her, she then said it was the Xmas period and she was so busy calling catering and arranging for her party, I should have called again. Like its my problem you have to organize a party? She even said she checked her missed call list right up to Jan and didn't see my counter number. LIE!!! Who has a missed call list till Jan if you are a such a busy person? So STUPID! Anyway, she made a big fuss out of it.. I can't be bothered, really.

So by the time I was done with all my paperwork and that stupid stuff, it was the same time as Jav finishes work. Still super pissed with that bitch, so needed some therapy.

Retail therapy that is. But this time wasn't for tidbits, it was for bedsheets. Muahaha.. We were looking for those more class designs. Like, super tai tai cause must find nicely designed, with high thread count. I was "blamed" for wanting to go shop around and in the end, its not me who spends so much again.

Rushed back home to take a shower cause I don't know the countdown party over at my place later tonight will last until what time. Hahaha..

One More Bday Celebration

Last night met up with AK Peeps... Its a combined bday celebration for me & Ym. Actual day for her though. Had our dinner at Manhattan Fish Market.

Shared a seafood platter with Py. I asked her to cut some of the fried oyster for me to try. YUCKS! Oysters stink! It tasted so gross! My goshhhh... I hereby conclude that oysters stink regardless whether its cooked or not. Its an acquired taste which I don't think I can ever get used to.
Eeeeewww...

Anyway... After dinner, we couldn't really decide where we wanted to go or what to do. So finally we decided to head to a pub where cab fare will cost less than $5 bucks to get back after midnight. Played cards there. Lame games and all that. But didn't stay exactly that long cause the place was closing for the night. Bummer...

Ohh... I only know Ym took some pictures when we were having dinner. But she hasn't sent me any, so I don't have any to post up.

Dinner was Pizza but no KFC cause they said it was raining heavily and they suspend delivery for the time being, so we sent the guys out to the mall to get the chicken instead.

After dinner was games time... We each had to think of forfeits and the loser would have to unlucky dip it out.

I was the first... Had to play the turtle-jump and I was supposed to find one of the guys to play with me.

Merry X'mas

Hee... Thank goodness I don't have to work today. Some stupid toad wanted the store to be opened on X'mas day. Such a grinch. Must be a lonely hag without family or friends.

Anyway... Last night, attended midnight mass. Met up with Ade & Ken after that and couldn't really decide where to head to. Went driving around Orchard but nothing much. Picked up Ade's friends and we still couldn't decide where to go. Clubs were already closing. Ended up for supper at Newton.

By the time we were done, it was bout 5am. Everyone wanted to go Ken's house for some drinks and chill out. I was super tired out already so I thought of just taking cab back. But just 1 hour before no more midnight charge. I decided to go his place and wait.

Needed sleep cause I'll be having a party tonight with my babes and their other halves.

Oyster Pearls

Had to work on X'mas eve till about 6pm. Had lunch-to-go and went shopping with Lifang for x'mas pressies for Viv, Nor & Jav. Managed to get it at OG.... Muahahaa... Very focused window shopping. They gave a voucher to collect a pearl if you spend $20 and above. At first we were thinking its probably just cheap man-made pearls. Found out that they were real but we couldn't be bothered to go collect it.

After work, went to continue shopping. Went back OG again.. This time more free to go queue and collect my pearl. Its extracted out of REAL oysters right in front of your very eyes! WOW!! Interesting.

Anyway, because I forgot to tell Jav that the bag in the cupboard for him. So he left and I made sure he went back to the counter to collect it. Hahaa.. Then somehow he was also interested to see how pearls were extracted from real oysters, so we went back to collect another one which I was to lazy to re-queue to collect.

Ohh... Then because Lifang brought me up to their tidbits section which had a super wide variety of stuff, I wanted to go up so Jav went with me. Like little kids in a candy store, we were just grabbing a LOT of stuff. With a bill of like $20+ EACH spent on just those tidbits alone. Hahaha..

Actually the extracting of pearls aren't that impressive la.. But we re-queued like few more times cause we wanted to get a few more so that they can be put through the pearl test to see if its real, and if it is, whether good quality or not.
Lame.. Hahaha..

Ohh... I was blamed for enticing him to spend like close to 80 over bucks within that short time. Hahaha... Idiot!

Another Celebration

Having just 3 hours of sleep after reaching home only at bout 6am, I had to prepare to attend another gathering/celebration.

This time its with my family and relatives. Had lunch at Sizzler. I don't think I made my money worth. I ate a lot less than what I would normally stuff myself with during a buffet. Hahaha...

Grandma sponsored my bday cheesecake.


Sizzler gave a complimentary cake.

It was damn huge!!!!

Ehhh... Yup... I think thats about all I received for now.

Yesterday after work, Liz came down early to meet me. We went to our usual place and had yummy chicken wings and potato wedges with Carlsberg while waiting for the rest to finish work.

Slowly one by one arrived. Jav, Jerlyn, Cin. It was kinda last minute thingy so many of them weren't able to come. Wes, Jav's friend also came down.

We were playing Bluff and Daidi till bout midnight when they started signaling to each other and all that la. I thought they bought a cake and wanted to smash me with it. Maybe Liz wanted to take revenge.
But the next thing I knew, the bartender came with a cocktail glass containing some brownish drink and a straw without any decorations and stuff... So I was wondering if that was the Flaming Lamborghini?
But according to what I heard, I think it was called "Waterfall".
The bartender tried to light up a drink in a brandy glass but the fire would just die out cause the fans were too strong. They made me go right to the bar counter to drink from there instead. Ventilation still too strong. So the manager suggested that off the fan for a while so that I could drink it up.
Right... Then my crazy colleagues wanted it to look nice so they requested to have the glasses all stacked up while the bartender pours the contents of the brandy cup down. So that the flame will trickle down the stacked glasses and into the cocktail glass.
Scary can? I didn't know how was I supposed to drink it lor... Flaming leh. Will I burn my tongue? Will the flames melt the straw? Like super a lot of questions running in my head.
I only know they kept on asking me to just drink it up fast, don't stop sucking the straw.

I didn't know how many people were watching me drink cause I was like looking at the drink, concentrating and thinking where should I stick my straw but I could hear cheering and clapping from them and even other people in the pub.
Madness!

Quite easy to down it, wasn't a disgusting concoction. Tasted pretty alright I think. Downed it too fast for my taste buds to savour the drink and remember the taste.
But concentrated alcohol heated to its boiling point that just gives like an immediate high.
Then after that, everyone was like asking me if I'm alright or not, drunk or not, can go home or not and all the other questions.
I don't have any pictures of the drink or of me drinking the drink. They didn't know how to use my camera. Since it was a flaming drink, cannot wait and slowly show them how to use it.

Stayed on for a while more before those who had to work the next day had to leave.
Vivian came to join us. But we didn't stay that long either.

Went with Liz to Clarke Quay. I went to this club which I think given a choice in the future, I wouldn't really want to step in to that place ever again. The music is fine, but not the crowd.

Anyway, it was pretty boring, don't think I'll blog much about it.

Early Bday Celebration

Met up with Cf & Vid for a lil shopping around Orchard.

We decided to start walking from Dhoby and I bought a necklace for 7 bucks. I wasn't really looking for any particular things cause I've already assaulted my card and account quite a fair bit just the last night. In fact, last night after work, I purposely went colour (anything but black) top hunting.

Why?

All because of Hj lah...

We're celebrating our bdays together so she kept on nagging that I'm always in black.
Like what can I do if I work 26 days in a month and meet them mostly only after work. Lazy to bring extra clothes just to go change each day lor. Plus I not so free to wash so much extra clothes.

Mmm.. So ya, I found a plain and simple top. Green colour. *Phew!*
Then I went on to buy a black colour one as well... Tee heee...
Plus I bought the small bag with the intention to use it for my bday. A nice bronze colour.
Ohhh... Not forgetting a pint of Haggen Dazs ice cream.
All that within 2.5 hours of lone shopping. =))


Right.. So back to today...
Cf was princess for the day. She just have to say what she was looking for and we were helping her look out for it. Vid & I seemed more enthu to find it then her. Hahaha..

The weather was crazy! Rain, stop, rain, stop. Aiyoo... A bit spoiler la.

I went off to meet up with Grace, Xl, Yl & the other bday gal, Hj. Had our gathering at Coffee Club.
Ohhh!! Guess what?
The 2 bday gals made bday cards for each other on their own and the others weren't aware of it.
HAHAHAAA!!!
But if we had to rate the cards, the one I made would fail terribly in comparison to the one she made.
Er... Wait a minute, I think the one she made is more like a mini scrapbook rather than card. She actually took the effort to extract pictures of me which fits the lyrics to a particular song by Corrine May. Do some deco and stuff... and voila... A simple yet nice and personalized card.

I Buy More When I Shop Alone

Another off day just over like that.

Planned to shop today. Well... I was late again. Suppose to meet Meanie at 2pm (at Bishan somemore). I only left house at 2pm. I know... My fault la. But I can't help it cause I had to get some things done for dad before I my conscience is clear to go out and shop.

Stretch out hand by road to get to Bishan asap. Did whatever we had to do over in Bishan then went down to Orchard to shop.

Today's main aim were to get a few items, check out prices and all that la. Time was pretty tight so it was pretty much go in, see, decide, go. But still, straying was inevitable.

It was pretty disappointing trip to Orchard. The only things I spent money on was for tunch. I didn't eat much earlier on in the day so was kinda hungry.

AX got sale! But too bad the belt I have my eyes on doesn't have.

We went our seperate ways shortly after shopping. I had some time to kill before dad came to pick me up and head for dinner with grandma and godma.
I really cannot be left alone to shop! I'll end up buying something. Hahahaha...
Tee hee... I got myself a top.

Then after dinner, dad dropped me off at the mall to buy bread. Alone again lor...
*Ahem* I went shopping again.
Just going to buy the loaf of bread and leave would probably take about 10-15mins.
I spent more than *ahem* an hour *ahem* or so

To Buy Or Not To Buy

Was suppose to meet Yl at 12.30pm. But I was delayed until about 3.30 because I had to help dad take pictures of some items for his customer. So since it was urgent and I could only meet her at a later time.

Went to Vivo to shop. It was disappointing. The fashion trend at the moment doesn't seem to appeal to me leh. So many "winter" clothes and layering is in. But I don't like leh...

Max came to join us. Hj also came after work. They couldn't decide what to eat. I didn't want to make the decision. Finally we went for Sushi Tei, dinner was a bday treat for me & Hj courtesy of Max.

Hmmm... I'm now so tempted. Tempted to buy a belt at $139 from Armani Exchange. I like the design... My gosh my gosh!
Found out that its selling much much cheaper from the net. So even after shipping and all that. Its still gonna be way cheaper. Which makes me even more tempted to buy. Heh heh...

Ohh... I bought my mp3 player already. The 8Gb one!
Yep yep, stocks came earlier than expected.
I also bought myself 2 watches. One of which slipped out of my hands and dropped right before I could wear it. The face kinda cracked a bit inside. The other one yet to wear.

I am sleep deprived! I need to rest more. I think I should. I can suddenly sit there quietly and stone and wish that I had my pillow right there to sleep on.

Since I chose not to have one big bday bash where all family, friends, colleagues come together, I have to find more days to go out with different groups of people.
Well... quality over quantity for me.
So next week will be super busy! Just that week alone, I'll have 3 celebrations.
Monday for my babes, Friday night after work for my colleagues, sat for my family.
The week after that also will be busy.
Tuesday will be xmas party at Liz's house. Thursday (most prob) will be with AK peeps. Sunday countdown to new year.

My goshhhh... I better sleep more. Starting from now.

More Late Nights

Ahhhh... Full shift tomorrow! Gonna be so damn tired.

Why are all the nice colleagues leaving? Their last days are within a span of few days from each other only. Sighhh....

Anyway, been really busy recently. Had been working continuously for 16 days.
Can die lor, serious.
Have also been having alot of post work activities. Either clubbing or pubbing. Because I've been working so many straight days, I can't be bothered to know which date is which day since I know my off day was still long way, nothing to countdown to. So I can't really recall which days I went to which clubs/pubs.

I never understood how people could go clubbing 3 times a week and still go to work everyday.
Now I know... My was 3 days back to back to back wor! Hahaha.. My goshhh...
That was the super energy consuming.
By the 3rd night when I went with Liz and Jav, I think they knew I was pretty much stoning already. Cause normally when I work, I'm not very quiet either. I was just sitting there silently and starring at the telly as if I really understand and enjoy soccer. Fact was my mind couldn't think of any conversations cause I was too sleepy.
Nahh... Wasn't drunk, just tired. I won't drink excessively till I'm drunk.

Tequila shots tastes damn horrid especially if you have an ulcer right smack on the lips and you must suck the lemon after drinking it. OUCHHH!!!~

Ohhh... Attended w05's gathering on the 9th. Ohh ya... Before the 3rd consecutive clubbing/pubbing. Perhaps that's also why I was more easily tired out.
We went to Marche for dinner. Took lots of pictures! Almost half the peeps there brought cameras. So can you imagine how many times we have to take?
Its nice catching up with them. More than half are slaves to the nation. Some by choice. Hahaha...
So nice of them, bought me & Sx a cake to celebrate our 21st birthday.
Ohh... Not forgetting a pair of earrings and a bracelet too.

Late Nights

I've been having quite a lot of outings with my colleagues after work.

Monday, Vivian wanted to have Mac's for supper but later changed her mind and wanted to go somewhere with live band. We went Balaclava's and ordered food to eat. This guy who wanted to get to know her decided to use food as a common topic.
Damn lame ass la.. Hahaha.. We found him a nuisance cause he kept asking or saying the obvious like...
1) What is this? (While pointing to a hot dog.)
2) Wahh, you gals know how to enjoy life ar?
3) Thats quite a lot of food for supper. (Thanks ar.. Like we need him to bring that to our attention. Plus its not supper.. Its our dinner can?)
I couldn't even be bothered to entertain him when Vivian kept quiet to his lame questions.
There were points of time where I don't know whether I should laugh at his silly questions or just roll my eyes and look away.

Finally when they left, we felt more peaceful. Hahaha... Changed our table so that we could rest on the glass panel.
Then these 2 guys came in and sat few tables in front of us. After a while, they came over and introduced themselves and promtly sat at our table. Then and only then, they asked, "do your mind if we join you?"
Hello... You plop your ass down already then you ask if we mind? It's like drinking someone's water then pretend to ask... Ehhh... That's your cup? Not mine ar?

Anyway... I cannot be bothered with these people. I can't even remember their names; or rather, don't even put in the effort to remember. Waste my memory space for what sia...

Yet another super lamer who couldn’t really hold a proper conversation. Damn sian… I’d rather sit there quietly and look at the band play.

After that we went to another place.. Munich? Or something like that. Apparently, they brew their own beer there. Never tried before though... Not too bad...


Tuesday someone came down to give me chocolates from Aussie + some shower gel in some cute candy cane packaging. Then we went to look for another colleague to give her chocs and shower gel, before leaving to have our dinner at Creme Cafe. I didn’t have to pay for that super filling meal, how nice. Was a bit like gossip session. Hahaa…


Wednesday met Liz after work to go for dinner + just chill out. It was a super duper major bitching session over pasta and wings, really. Jerlyn came to join us after she did her closing. So while waiting for Javen & Roland to come join us, we went to the toilet. You cannot imagine the rubbish the 3 of us have in our bags. Cosmetics and stuff, amazing wor… Enough to do full makeover right there in the toilet lor. Hahaha..

So the guys came to join us and we went over to CHIJMES. I’m like a mountain tortoise and they’ll were my guides. We ended up in club/pub. There was live band there which was pretty good! The lead singer is actually the ex Sg Idol’s judge.
Saturday, had Crystal Jade with grandma, godma and bro. We ordered a lot of food! Goodness…! It was like a 10 course dinner...

Grandma had a fall few days before that so the swelling and blood clots were still kinda visible. Wanted to bring her to walk around to see X’mas lightings but decided against it; since it was way too crowded. She would have to look at the path she was walking, then look up to see the lights, look up look down, look up look down, don’t think will enjoy that much. Walked them to the MRT so that they could go home to rest.

Me, on the other hand, went to look for Liz. She wanted to go have yummilicious chicken wings at this pub near my workplace. The wings, are superb! Very juicy and tasty, ohh… pricey too la. Think it is stated on the menu that 90% of their customers would come back for more. I don’t see why not.


Anyway, it was yet another super duper major bitching session part 2. Jav also came down to join us for wings after he did closing.


All too stressed out at work. Even colleagues from other brands has been telling me that.

PY's 21st

Attended Py's party last night, was celebrated early though.

Venue was at her relative's house. I couldn't go early to help out with any preparations. I wanted to leave on the dot since I couldn't get off.

BUT... I left late cause the damn com at work screwed up and the appointment list wasn't saved. So Vivian went for her break thinking that there wasn't any more appointments even though one was already accepted.

I ended up having to stay back and do for the customer who was already there. The damn thing was that when I went to work today to find the sheet to key in, it was gone! I don't even know if the customer paid or not. But if she didn't, then it was just a bloody waste of my time! Even if she did pay but at other levels, I won't know and can't be going to all cashiers to search for it.
Damn it lah!

Anyway... Okok... Forget it. Back to the party.

An Impromptu Nite Out

Yesterday, went over to have dinner with grandma, godma and uncle. Anyway, was just a simple dinner at the hawker centre. But I was held back at work cause the part timer didn't feel well and wanted to leave early.

I don't know what the hell is going on at work la. Last month we only had 3 headcount and we weren't really allowed to use part timers even when 1 had to go for event. This month we have 4 headcount, 2 are allowed to go have their off days and part timers are allowed.
Why huh?

Ohh then when they decided to cancel the event which I was supposed to go for, I requested for one of the saturday off and was rejected. Why?
Cause they wanted full strength on a sat. -_-"
So then I asked how come cannot get part timer?
I was told this... They don't wish to engage part timers whenever possible.
Seriously... What the f*ck?


No plans after dinner but as I was going home, I saw an sms from Liz, asking me to go out to celebrate her bday and since the promo just ended.
Went to get a cake from Delifrance. Went home first then went to meet them.

They wanted to go to a gay pub-club. Tee hee... First time going to gay pub-club, really curious to see how is it like. I saw a lot of gays outside this club, but I wasn't too sure if that was the one. Kept on calling them to give me directions. So basically, after walking a big round, then I realised that I was outside the right one just moments earlier. Darn it...

Anyway.. They didn't allow cakes to be brought in la. It was a damn mood dampener. So I just left it at the baggage counter and went in. The first area was the pub area. Liz, Jav and their friends were already there so I just sat there, facing the entrance where I had a good view of people who came in.

Soon joined by Cin, Shan and Kel, who wanted to go up to the club area. Cin knows its my first time to a gay club so insisted that I go up with them to see how its like instead of just sitting at the pub area. Hahah...

Normally at night, I already got a bit of problem due to astig. Now I had to go up this flight of stairs which was covered in black fur so it was super dark and misty. I could hardly see la!

Finally when I could see, I saw lots of guys. Practically no girls until much further in. The ratio of gals to guys was like 1:8. Most of them would probably fall into one or more of the 'good looking', 'cute' or 'hunky' category.
It would be like a typical girl's dream to be filled in a room of such guys until you snap back to reality and remember that one is in a gay club. Hahahahaa...

Jer, Wy, Co and many others which came as time went on. One even went as drag, complete with boobs and all. Haha! He was so different that I could hardly recognize.

We were like stuffing ice cubes down each other's back when they least realised it. Playing amongst ourselves and disturbing each other, oblivious to the others around us.

Ohh... One thing bout such clubs is that when gals go to the toilet, they come out much faster than compared to guys. Hahaha... Ok, besides the distance of toilets from where we were, other factors like queueing to use the toilet la.. Gals one was super fast cause there was hardly a queue.

Anyway, Liz didn't join us up at the clubbing area, she left with Jav and other friends of their's to Hyatt for some drinks instead. She asked me to head over to join them and will pay for my transport. But by the time I saw the sms it was like half hour later, so I didn't go in case they left Hyatt already.

The cake was still stuck at the baggage area cause the key was still with me. We went to claim it after we were about to leave. Liz called me to see where was I and asked me to wait where I was together so that she'll come and at least cut the cake.

We literally waited right smack wherever we were. Directly outside the club. When people are tired from clubbin, what they do while waiting is seriously damn hilarious. Kel was tired till pi tor kah. Co was high and was uttering rubbish and pinched off the bday cake cause she was too hungry. Cin was stoning with me. Shan and Jer were entertaining Co.

Liz came and had to cut her cake on the floor (directly in front of the club).
Anyway!!! I took some cake, went to Liz and smacked it right into her big eyes. Hahaha!!!
Cake war was declared (still in front of the club) but I ran away whenever they were near. So I was pretty clean compared to them after peace was instilled.

Heh... Though its not my bday, but I guess this would be one celebration that would be hard to forget.
All the unglamness and maddness, everything was so unplanned but it turned out just fine.

Geeky Technology

This is so disheartening!
The Creative Zen Micro Photo 8GB which I made a reservation for because it was out of stock, is expected to come in only in Feb 07!!!

Why like that!!!!????

The staff from Creative called me to inform me of the stock status and asked if I actually wanted to wait for it or get another item. So asked her for their current promos and she rattled off a few. Told her I can't decide on the spot cause I haven't seen the models yet. She'll follow up soon.
So now I'm thinking...
Should I wait???

Its batt life is slowly dying. Not worth to buy new batt.
The buttons sometimes doesn't respond and the batt cover's catch is broken, sending in for repair isn't worth it also.

Also with me for about 2 years. Giving me problems. Damn irritating!
Everytime I transfer data, bound to have more than 2 or more files which become corrupted. So when I get data and I come back to view it, all I see is corrupted crap. Its seriously fustrating! Formatting it doesn't help.

So I also need to get a new one. Haiyo... !
Anyway, already checked price. $45 for 1GB one... So is that cheap?? But I forgot to check which brand is it.

Why huh?? Technology stuff don't last long nowadays? Not even close to 4 years...


Ohhh... I went down to get a new digicam! Wheeeee... Although its only 6 mega pixel, but at least its an upgrade from the 3.2MP. Uses 2AAs instead of 4. Much more compact and pretty much lighter. More flexibility with the video mode. Comes with a 1GB SD card.
For so much good stuff, it still cost me lesser than the cost of the 3.2MP one.

Early X'mas Dinner Party

Yesterday we had our training session cum X'mas dinner party. But in the early early morning at 7am, had to go down to the counter to do stock take. MY GOSH!!!

Anyway... We had like half day before part timer came to relief us and we could leave for the training cum dinner.

The location was in Mezza9 in Hyatt Hotel.

Training was held in Mezza9's wine cellar. Hahaha...
No, we were not being trained how to appreciate wine. I wish it was though...
We were having training on the upcoming session's looks and have a preview of all the new stuff coming up.
The lighting inside seems to auto dim after a period of time. Which made the place, so cold, so dim and very tempting to sleep.

After training, we had the x'mas gift exchange. So it was done like all our names were placed in a box. Person 'A' will pick a name out, say Person 'B'.
'A' will exit the cellar, choose their gift and proceed too the dining area.
'B' will come up and pick out name, say Person 'C' and the cycle goes on.

To walk to the dining area, we had to go pass the martini bar, which looks really nice!
So we got settled and the food started coming shortly.

Didn't take food shots this time cause its shared food. Not so nice to keep hungry colleagues waiting while I snap away ya?

By dessert when all were already quite full and busy chatting away, I couldn't help but snap a pic of the dessert which was exactly like how the menu described it as. An Extravaganza!

But beware, the second item from the bottom row was damn powerful! I was the first one from my table to try that. So I used my spoon to scoop some and all the syrup started oozing out and overflowing. I was like "ohh shite shite, don't waste the syrup" and I started scooping more syrup to my spoon.
Then... thinking it was maple syrup I immediately tried it.
Ohhh... My.... GAWDDDDD!!!
I was practially drinking thick alcohol syrup!!!
It tasted damn concentrated somemore! Kinda gives the "wasabi" effect but this one goes up to the nose and down the throat. FWAHHH!!!

Ehhh... Again I don't know who else brought digi cam. But I think I've already consolidated most of the pics ba.
Then I made them into yet another collage.
Suddenly I like making all these collages. Its like making and fitting my own imaginary jigsaw.

Vid's Bday

Yesterday was basically a travel-to-meet-people-for-meals-day for me.

One thing in common, to take photos. 'Take' as in to transfer to me and to snap pictures.

Only intending to compile those pictures taken with their camera during the dinner and dance cause I don't really know who else brought cam. But I think most of them would want a copy of the consolidated pics since "halloween" is a pretty interesting theme for the D&D.


Right... So bout the Vid's bday dinner. AK peeps + Jet + Joey went to Arcadia in Bishan Park to have dinner. Waited quite a while for Ym & Jet to find their way there.
The ambience is very relaxing. Food orders were also served in a very laid back pace.
A pretty nice place by the park to chill out without feeding the mozzies.

The post celebration was over at Macs which was like nearer our homes.

Vid's pressies were Braun Bruffel Wallet, the sunflower and a "Chip" without "Dale" keychain.
Before that in the shop, someone was complaining that "Dale" keychain looks like it has jaundice and looks reallllyyy U.G.L.Y. so only got him a "Chip".
After receiving the keychain some days later, that same someone decides to complain that no matter how disgusting they look, "Chip & Dale" should still come as a pair.

Halloween Party

Attended my company's Dinner and Dance last night. Was held at the Ritz Carlton.
Theme: Halloween
Dress code: Magically stylish

Few days before, I kept bugging Cindy & Roland to share a hotel room so that we won't have to rush when we finish work back home and to the dinner. A few other colleagues also didn't mind sharing. So we ended up booking a room in Hotel Eighty-One for bout 3hours. Hee hee...

The arrangment was Roland would drive, then we would be able to leave our things in the car after checking out of the hotel. Its damn funny... He volunteered to send me and Cindy back after the dinner without even finding out where we stayed first. I stay in the NorthEast, she stays in the East, he stays in West. Super big detour, its maddness!

The hotel was very nice! Not as sleazy as I thought it would be. Heh heh...
In fact, I'd rather stay there then some 4-star (as they claim to be) hotels in other countries cause its really clean! Plus there is LCD tv complete with SCV somemore.

Ignore the barang on the parapet (or is there another name for it?) and the messed up bedsheets (the bed has been jumped upon, tested and approved already. *snigger...*)

After we were fully transformed, me and Cindy had to cross the road to wait for Roland to pick us up. The rest were still in the room preparing to leave together in the other car. The lift door opened and the guy waiting outside got a shocked to see a witch inside the lift. He kinda jumped a bit.. Muahahahaa..
Then while at the bus stop, a lot of passerbys kept on looking and wondered what was the occasion.

We arrived at the hotel. This party was way cool lah! I've never attended a halloween party. Almost everyone there were all dressed up. Some scary, some funny, some gory, some sexy and some were just confused souls. Its exciting to try identifying fellow colleagues la...

As for me, many suggested I go dirty and hagged.
But I don't wanttttt...... I wanna go as a glam witch.
HAHAHAA...

A lot of interesting costumes. Lots of flashes going off and chit chatting as everyone lingered outside the ballroom while waiting.

Frankly, the food wasn't great.
But I guess the presentation and overall setup of the ballroom made up for it.

I know, I know... That 2nd row 1st picture is super out of colour scheme ya? It wasn't taken with my camera so the light and other settings are different. No choice la.. They turned off the lights for some performance when the main course was served. The pic I took was blurry and its hard to even make out what is it. They only turned the lights back on after I dug into my chicken.

The emcee was pretty entertaining.
Out of 10 nominees, 4 were from BB (that's not bad wor!). They were supposed to go upstage to do a catwalk which I videoed down.

Think everyone was just waiting for the lucky draw then make a move.
I didn't get anything... =(
I was busy snapping away even when we're already at the main entrance of the hotel.
The valet drove the car over already, so no choice, had to leave.
I haven't snapped enough pics yet! Haiyo...

Ok... Total damage for this D&D.
Rental of the costume cost me 50bucks.
Bought the mini cauldron for bout 6bucks.
Glitter tubes to decorate the cauldron 3bucks. But they dropped off anyway. =(
5bucks for the dark royal purple nail polish which Cindy found for me.
Black stockings think was bout 3bucks.
Earrings 2bucks.
Lucky I borrowed boots from Xl, so I save bout 80bucks there.

Some had to work morning shift the next day so there weren't any plans besides going home.
6 people squeezed into the car. Dropped off one by one. I was supposed to be last. Then Jerlyn called to ask Fenn if they wanted to go for some drinks. A bit silly for them to send me back then go back to the hotel to pick her again so I decided to join them.
They drove to a chill-out place somewhere. After a drink, we went to a club in Clarke Quay. I think I started to get kinda tired. Very sleepyyyy...

They wanted to send me back but then its a bit ridiculous cause it was already so late and they are supposed to work morning shift. I cabbed back with Jerlyn. They carried all my barang to the cab for me. But when I reached home and had to carry all my barang + the extra things I got to carry, the weight was simply unbearable already. Too tired and not enough energy to carry, my hands were breaking already. I walked out of the lift and put the things along the corridor to rest my sore hands.
But instead, I dozed off for a good 10minutes while squatting down. Damn pro.. Hahaha!

Pork Pie's 21st

Delayed entry cause now then I got the pictures and finally have time to blog bout it.

The not-so-surprised party for Pork Pie. Though there was a bit of information leak that didn't make the surprise a surprise anymore, we still had our fun. Taking lots of pics as usual... Hahaha...


This one was the planned and arranged dinner celebration for Pork Pie the next day. Yep... Thats the one which I wasn't able to attend. Sian...

10 Things Which Happened

Shall write it in point form. Too many things happened. I'm tired to keep track. I don't even remember what have I done sometimes.

1) Its damn sad... They're leaving and going elsewhere. It was a pretty morbid phone call. I found out more than what I'm supposed to know.
Why must it happen huh? I'm happy with the current arrangement for now. Though I know it won't last long, but its really cut too short way too fast.

2) Goodbyes aren't really welcomed when you don't dislike the person.
Haiyo... Why oh why...???

3) People aren't really what they are portray themselves to be. Looks can be deceiving. How true. On the surface, they look so nice. Actually they're the obstacles which hinder my plans.

4) Don't be too naive. There's more than meets the eye. There's more than just the tip of the iceberg hidden beneath the surface.
Find an ally which you can trust and rely on.

5) AK peeps have been very understanding. I've already missed one bday party due to work. I'll be missing another one come end of next month also due to work. Both I've promised to be there. But failed or will fail to keep to the promise.

6) I'll be putting my job in jeopardy if I refuse to go for the party or insist on having that particular day off. Their words came across as something like, "You go think lor.. which is more important? Party or work? If you think its party, then next time when there are events, they probably won't even put you there. Decide for yourself."
How great is that? Its such a last minute decision to swap me in and yet they can't even like be flexible for that one day. Work sucks!

7) Lots of bdays coming up this year's quater including my. Bday wishlist and don't-wish-for list is out already, see previous post. But I guess I'll be kept busy with work. As much as I want my offdays, hopefully they won't change date due to some crapped up reasons.

8) Saw someone I know cutting their locks and had it coloured similiar to mine. Why huh???

9) Another person went to have braces done after seeing me with it. Third so far.
Either they are damn inspired, or I made them feel bad about their teeth after they started to ask me bout braces. I don't know, won't know either...

10) I've completed my driving! Yipee-doo-dah-dehh!
But the next available slot for the test is 8th Feb. Which I cancelled after being itchy hand and went to get the slot which someone gave up on the 6th Feb. 2 days difference and I still go and risk cancelling before rebooking.

1-Soft Toys. I've packed my collection and sent to the storeroom sometime back already.

3-Decorative figurines and all that. I've got no more space.
4-Vouchers from ulu places/shops. Or if you all know I'll end up spending more than expected. Spare me the temption k? Haha!
5-Real pets. Got no time to take care. I don't wish to neglect them, so spare a thought for the little ones. Hee!
6-Clothes. I prefer to try it on myself; cause what you think looks good on me, may not be what I like. Hehehe.. A bit fussy la?
7-MAKEUP!!! Got LOADS already. Cupboard is gonna burst!
8-Fragrances. Still have a lot to use.
9-Skincare. Unless it is this product retails at $90. Heard loads of raves about it, so won't mind trying. Hahaha..

11-Religion related stuff. I know I'm catholic and supposed to be attending church regularly. But don't really need to reminded that I'm not exactly that holy. So please save those stuff for X'mas or Easter. Hahaha...

Major Rantings

Its been a while... Lots of things happened.
Most parts of this entry will be me ranting away. Er... At any point you don't understand what I'm typing, its alright ya?

Pork Pie turned 21 on 21. AK + Jet went to her place to give her bday cake after midnight. Was supposed to be a surprised but words sort of got slipped out. Anyway, after we sent her off for her after party, AK -(Dear Lu + Pork Pie) + Jet [gosh this is getting kinda mathematical] went to 24hrs Macs to chill.

I was off on the 21st. So Sugar Bit + Me went to search for Pork Pie's pressie. Ehhh... It was a bit of challenge to think of something Pork Pie will like. Not saying that Pork Pie is fussy.
Looking for cane bags, saw a few from various shops, but with each bag, we both thought there was something that didn't seem quite like the perfect pressie. Some too big, some colour not nice blah blah. We ended up buying her one bag which wasn't cane.

Anyway... Divert a bit ya? I haven't really been out shopping for some time already. Suddenly everything seems so nice and tempting to buy. Or perhaps I just wanted to get stuff which are clearly againsts words written in black and white, but people have broken it because they got something slightly different and yet they got away with it, and I on the other hand, got a warning. If I get warned for this, I'll make sure the others better get it too. Else its unfair to me.

K back to proper post.

So on the 22nd, AK + Jet + YS were suppose to have buffet for Pork Pie's celebration at a hotel.
But because of my blurness, I forgot to check my schedule and I was supposed to work afternoon instead of morning. I only found out when I reached there and saw Cin also ther already. She wasn't able to swap, neither was the part timer. Had no choice but to forgo the celebration.
Anyway, because of that, I wasn't in the mood to do work. Plus I had so much time to kill till afternoon shift starts. Tried to cheer myself up. Bought a magazine and went to TCC for a cuppa & cake. Felt better, but still upset and a bit guilty. So I went to do things which I don't normally do over at the counter (especially when got only so few staff). Normally, I'll write those memos with code and price for the eyebrow trimming only if I'm too bored and I'll only have a few.
Somehow it lifted my mood a little. Hahah.. But wasn't enough la. I went to chop those memo with the brand's stamp.

Then I proceeded on to cut brush bristles. I took a lot of them and just went on to snip snip snip away the bristles. Actually ar.. Cutting expensive brushes is very therapuetic. Well, perhaps its just the cutting action. No wonder people always go for a haircut when they are feeling down. Or those people will cut their wrists to vent anger (not that I've tried or will wanna try...)
Hmmmm... I was cutting in a constructive way ok? I was trimming away the frayed bristles. Not the whole thing and leaving the brush bald. Its the feeling of restoring something back to as good as new that gives the sense of satisfication.

Yl came down to meet me for dinner. I suggested we have Fish&Co so that we could just sit there for the whole hour and yak away. Right... At least some familiar face to talk to.

Then there were super irritating customers who came after that. Both were asking for the same item which is actually limited edition and has already been sold out at my counter. 1 was so demanding... my gosh, I felt like slapping her face.
Bitch1: Do you have this item? (Pointing to the catalog)
Me: Sorry its sold out over here.
Bitch1: Everywhere sold out??
Me: Not too sure bout other places but I can check for you. Which location is more convenient for you?
Bitch1: Whichever that has it lah!
So rude!!! But thats not the end. I had to go to the system's inventory to check. Saw 1 outlet which has it.
Me: Do you want me to make a reservation for you?
Bitch1: Yes...
Me: Then you will go down within this 3 days?
Bitch1: Har? Must go down? Cannot transfer the stock here meh?
Me: Sorry we're not able to do that.
After calling almost 5 times, still no answer.
Me: No one seems to be answering. Would you like their number so that you can call directly to reserve from them?
Bitch1: NO! YOU call them, reserve it then call me back!
She writes her name on the paper and after she was done, she tossed the pen on the counter top, rolling her eyes as she walked away.
WTF?!?!?
Customers are always right? MY FOOT!

Anyway, Bitch2 was also equally bitchy. Somemore she herself works in a jewellery store nearby according to the girl from other counter. She suggested that next time when we're off, we can go to her jewellery shop and act rich, ask her to show us all the big bling bling just to make things difficult for her and waste her time then don't buy.

I don't understand why there are lots of idiotic customers! If its stated that it is a limited edition item and launch date is October, you come in end of October, and still be able to get the product then ok lor. Otherwise, prepare to be disappointed since you don't want to come down earlier lah. Say that you are busy or what its just an excuse lor. Why get so upset when you can't get the item that you must scold the sales person just because you are "busy" and have to time to come and get it? As if they are the ones who control your schedule meh? STUPID!

I think I shall compile a list of stupid things customers do or come and ask me. Some are so dumb, even idiots or guys, those who never put makeup before also will know its just plain common sense. So ya... Can look out for the list soon.

After Friday 13th, Its Saturday 14th.

Back from Sw's 21st Bday Celebration. AK peeps were all there. Then plus Jet too.

Ohh well... The day after friday the thirteen is even freakier.
Before I left home for work, I suddenly had this urge to check up on my turtles. Fed them food just in case I would be staying over at the chalet. Jimmy as usual wasn't eating again. But it kept on opening its mouth above water. I didn't know what it meant but the expression in its eyes when it looked at me seemed a bit sad.

Was it showing me attitude when I didn't throw the food right in front of it? I thought, maybe. Threw some pallets right in front of it. Still it didn't seem interested. The expression seeemed to change from sad to a bit irritated like I wasn't getting whatever it was trying to convey. Running a bit late for work already, so I had to leave.

Work was a bit busier today. Had to stay back again to work OT.

Took a cab down to Sw's Chalet. I was already quite late so better not try to act big shot and arrive even later by taking the public transport.
Erm... Ok, can someone please educate me on the proper way of eating sausages during a bbq where all there is to use is either a fork or satay stick? No knife to cut to bite sizes and slowly chew on it. Ohh and especially those Taiwan sausages! Cause the sausage's casing is like super elastic and darn tough to bite through.
I'm asking this cause I actually fed the floor about 2 or 3 sausages while trying to bite through them.
Plus Von said I shouldn't eat it that way as it gives very suggestive images to others.

Anyway, I dozed off on the bed bout 1am. That is super early by my standard! They carried on talking and left me to nap. Then they left me in the room and went for round 2 bbq.
After waking up, I went to join them but I felt uneasy knowing that there were roaches flying around. Went up to the room after that.

I don't know la.. But ar.. I don't understand why would anyone suggest that 7 people leave the room to join 10 or more in the hall (which was pretty packed already) so that they can chase a roach into the room and leave it there so that it would not be a disturbance. Very clever I must say.
Anyway, that never mind, when roach flew up to the ceiling beam, yes, it might make people feel uneasy. But when got others who find ways to make it move down the ceiling beam, don't you think its logical for it to crawl further down so that some brave one can at least catch it?
Apparently, none were gungho enough. They only took things to throw at the roach, making it U-turn and head back to the exact same spot of the ceiling space. Sigh... So Creber.

We stayed till dawn so that we can take cab and not be too bothered bout the midnight fare.

Came home and the first thing I did was to check out on my turtles again. Sighhh... I was in for a rude shock. Jimmy has turned-turtle (no pun intented) but it was really upside down, dead!
Haiyo... I didn't know what to do. I was too tired. Thought I can just leave it till later when I wake up again.

So I slept for 2.5 hours before I woke up to clear the tank's water. OMG! Jimmy really R.I.P. (ripped in pieces. again no pun but its just a random thought.) Aiyo... I can't forget the look of the body. My gosh! Its so damn saddening.
Perhaps the look in its eyes before I left for work was to say goodbye? It got irritated cause I thought it wanted food instead.

Ohh well...

Anything that could possibly go wrong can go wrong. I was working morning. Due to shortage of staff, counter manager came earlier. Asked if I wanna work OT later on. I said 'no' cause I'm meeting pee pee. Sway enough, suddenly a lot of customers came. Like one after another and made it impossible to leave. pee came down to the counter to wait while I serve this customer. Customer saw and asked if that's my friend. I said 'yes'. She went on trying colours blah blah. One after another. Then pee still hung around waiting. She asked again, your friend seems to be waiting very long for you. Me, thinking that was the last colour she was going to try, replied,
'Ohh ya... But its ok.'

Bad Answer!!!
So she went on asking to try more colours. RAAARRRR!!! Had no choice but to try lor.
After trying, pee pee was still around. She still said, 'ehh... your friend is still waiting for you!'
LIKE DUHHHHH!!!
Anyway, she kept on being fickle minded and all... In the end, only bought 1 freaking item!

*Gasp!* Someone Doesn't Like Me... =(

I have this gut feeling that someone doesn't seem to like me very much. From the way she interacts with me to the kind of expression her eyes show. So much so that I feel the way she talks to me is a bit fake lor.
Wanna play all chummy and stuff, act fake so as not to seem like the badie? Two can play the same game.

Lots of incidents to prove it but I don't think I'll mention it here. I shall just say I'm being denied of some major opportunities. Don't really like this lor. The feeling sucks. Why must it happen to me? I don't even know where I went wrong or why does she seem to dislike me so much in the first place. I'm puzzled too!
I'm guessing its just one incident where I talked back and made her lose a bit of face.
Was that it???? Its thats the reason, then I think she's a damn bitch lor. So bloody petty and bear grudges for what?
Other than that, I can't think of why anyone would dislike me so much.
Hmm... Unless she thinks and feels that my presence will be a threat to her in the long run?
Ohh well... Perhaps ba...


At the most, if I can't stand all this bullshit, then perhaps its time for me to say goodbye. There is a limit to my patience, and its running thinner like the ozone, slowly but surely.

Rarrrr... The haze is damn bad! My throat feels dry and somewhat ticklish. I feel like sneezing. I don't know if the haze is really bad or my eyes are too dry due to polluted air that it adds on to the blurry vision.

Had my one and only lesson of driving auto car on friday, first time driving at night. Hee... Auto car is so freaking easy lor. Anyway, when I came back, which was bout 11pm and the roads were more or less cleared, it felt as if I was in Genting at night where the atmosphere was foggy and buildings were hardly visible. The only difference, it was warm and it smelt of haze.

Ohh... I saw GW in PS today. Waved to him from far but like no reaction. I didn't know if he saw me waving or he was in dreamland while girlfriend was shopping. Went up to him and said hi, he still looked blanked for a few more seconds. He could hardly recognize me! HAHAHA...
Guess that's gonna be quite common ba. People who have not seen me for more than a year would have a bit of problem.
Even those who saw me early this year also got problem. Sharon hor??? Hahaha...

Anyway... Today's off day. Supposed to go check some career/studies exhibition in Suntec with Meanie. But few days ago, I received the invitation for the company's dinner and dance. Quite cool la... The theme's halloween, so when the organizing committee came down to distribute the invitations, they dressed up and made a lot of noise while at the store.
Dress code was: Magically Stylish. Means must wear costume already lor...

So plans changed... We went to the costume shop first. It was so huge, I didn't really know where to start. Neither did I really have an idea of what I really wanted even though I did download some pics from the net. Hehh... We were an hour behind schedule thanks to erm... me la.

Anyway while at the shop, a lot of my other colleagues came. Such coincidence to see them. The place was rather crowded so the staff had a lot of people to attend to. I still didn't know what I want la. Tried to be a witch, colleagues said not nice. Don't suit me blah blah blah. Tried another gown which they said its better but I felt it was too safe, nothing unique bout it. Then I wanted to be an evil fairy. Cause I don't think I can carry off the angelic, princessy or those goody goody kind of look. The staff took some black tutu skirt for me to try. Wahahaha... Cannot make it la. Then I changed my mind and wanted to become a punk pirate. The guy there was like helpful enough to open the file in my thumbdrive and try to recreate that look. But unfortunately, another company rented most of their pirate costumes and only left one which didn't really suit me. So after 3hours, I finally made my decision and got whatever I wanted and did the reservation.

Took a cab to MSQ. Muahahaa... Shopped around a bit before goin off our seperate ways. Dinner with grandma and godparents. Quite irritating cause they didn't call our number for very long. When we checked with them, the said either cause there was no table for 4 at the moment or we haven't placed our order yet so they won't add to the list to call. We quickly ordered and waited. Short while later we went in and guess what? I saw people still holding menu and waitress standing by to take order lor. Kaoz.. Talk about double standards!

Photoshoot

Had my photoshoot today.
Hmm... Not really a personal one though. Like forced by company to go and take.

We have to do our own makeup, hair too if we wanted.
Had to go back and work then I'll leave early for the shoot.

Did 4 eyebrow trimming back to back. my eyes were like X-) after that.
Hahaha... No la.. Kiddin, where got so serious.

Asked colleague to do my eye makeup for me. Hee.. Photoshoot ma, don't really know what they expect out of it, so just sit there relax and let it be done.

Anyway, during the photoshoot, was over self conscience already. Photographer kept on asking me to smile, smile wider. Wider! Show teeth. What the hell... I don't like to smile lor. It makes my eyes smaller. I purposely asked my colleague to do my eye makeup so that the focus should be more on eyes not mouth. I mean, I can smile without showing teeth and my eyes are big and still look friendly mah.
I don't like formal photography especially if its for work and the photographer has to conform to the guidelines requested by the brand. Its boring!
I prefer free and easy, fun and crazy.

After the shoot, Angela & Pat asked if I wanted to share cab to go home. But we're all staying different directions, so it would be like a major detour. I declined, saying I'll wait for another cab. Backside itchy lor... Inside some industrial estate on a sunday.. How to get cab!?!?
So I decided to walk along and see if any cab pass by. As I walk further and further. Still no sign of empty cab. To make the route more interesting, I started taking pics. Hahaha...
I've walked more than 1km out of the industrial area and 2 bus stops away before a cab came along. Wearing heels somemore! My feet were so tired!

Dinner at vegetarian place with family & relatives. Cereal prawn was so darn good! Even the sambal stingray was shiok!

Slacking Day

I suddenly realised that it seems like a long time I haven't had an off day on a weekend leh. So I went to check my schedule to count for weekends off. Zero!
Muahaha.. Ok... I rememeber why I don't have weekends off le. I was the one who told them to put me to work on weekends. They hesitated but I insisted. Geh kiang la.. Never mind... Next time I won't say that le. Its nice to have weekends off and feel normal.

Anyway! Today is my off day. I has been a super long time since I managed to sleep past noon. But I still woke up at 10 automatically to check the time and wondered if I had to work what shift. Hahaha...
Me=Workaholic
If I'm not wrong, ever since I started work which was like 3 over months ago, never been able to sleep late. Cause even off days I had to wake up early to attend mass, go driving or do some stuff la.
So the feeling today is shiok la!

My agenda today was planned... Plan to do nothing (free and easy) till maybe after 2 or 3pm?

Panda Eyes

I'm back! Heh heh... Think this has been the longest hiatus from blogging I've had.

Ohh well... A lot of things happened within this time. Good and bad. But sad to say, mostly bad la.

Was feeling kinda down at the start of the month. Damn buay song with people and events that happened. Its that kind of feeling where I just wanna walk away from it but I can't. Then there isn't much things within my capabilities to change what people think differently of me. Really made me think a lot cause it was seriously bothering me. Thought about it so much that I was kinda affected in a lot of things. Very very foul mood. All until one day, when I was walking to the driving centre, with all those unhappy thoughts on my mind, I suddenly told myself that perhaps I should just suck it up la.. I need not give a shit about whatever happens even though it concerns me directly. After all, I also can't change the decision of others once it has been made.
Suddenly my mind and my heart felt very light, the weight was suddenly lifted.
Oooohhhh... Sweet Enlightenment. Hahahaha!

What good things happened? Ehhh... I also can't really remember la. See... I was so bothered that even happy events also became gloomy.

Either that or I was really busy. Busy helping dad with his work after I finish my shift or on my off day. I'm lucky, I'll get 5hrs of sleep each day. Most nights, I only got about 3-4 hours of sleep. Cause I'm such a workaholic, once I start, I can't stop till I'm either done with it, or I fall asleep doing it.
Yes... My eyes are like a panda's. Dark circles are getting like freaking obvious la. Hehh... But of course, I've got my concealer which helps dramatically but not totally cause I think mine's a pretty bad case.

Ohh ya, I went to consult a fortune-teller (more like unfortunate-teller), I was told that this year is a very bad year for me. In every aspect of my life. Kaoz... The day before I went, over at the counter, we were all saying that we should just listen with a pinch of salt and not take the words too seriously. So that was the mindset when I went. But after hearing whatever the fortune-teller said, it became a bit too hard to ignore. Cause whatever she said were rather specific. Its not like those where you read online and the description words are rather general and ambiguous. Her's were like specific and detailed which was scary to an extend. Whatever she said bout my past and present are accurate that it makes what she say bout my future somewhat credible. Furthermore, those colleagues who went to her, all said she was rather accurate with their's too. So cannot be I'm so different that what she says is wrong.

Mmmm.. I'm clearing my driving lessons faster than expected. Don't know if that's a good thing or not though. Good cause I learn more within that time slot. I'm thinking if I should book fixed instructor or not. Cause that instructor clears me pretty fast. Like 2 subjects in 1 lesson. Or if slower, its 3 subjects within 2 lessons. Not so good cause I won't have as much practise.
Then recently, when I was driving, the camera went off when I was at the junction waiting to do a U-turn. Wah liao.. Haven't even get license then get demerit points??? Cannot be right? Very worrying leh! Kept on asking the instructor how, how, how?
But anyway, maybe the camera or the wires connected to the camera went ku-ku due to the heavy downpour. Yes... the rain was so heavy that visibility was reduced to only 2 cars in front. Rear view mirror was practically useless cause I can't even see anything. Roads were so flooded that I could only drive at bout 30km/h. It was so bad that the car would splash water to the side. Pedestrians walking on the pathway are really sway lor, cause sure get spashed. I had to be reminded many times by my instructor to slow down upon seeing pedestrians or they will surely curse me. Hahahaa..
I think I shall consider myself lucky that it rained so heavily on the day I had my driving. At least there is someone to guide me on what to do. Imgaine if I didn't, then next time when I get my P-plate and there's a heavy downpour. Sure end up like kan cheong spider.

Heee... I bought stuff from Esprit.

I'm loving my new hp. It has 5 alarms slots. F.I.V.E. leh!!!

Next month gonna eat grass again. Need to buy contact lens.

Photoshoot coming up. I don't know what to wear!!! Should I dye my hair? How should I style my hair?

Money money money! Come to Me!

Haiyo... My social life also rather boring. Either I work or learn driving or more work. I wanna cheong my driving! Pass asap but earliest test date would only be in Jan 07 lor! My gosh... Thats so far away. Can I get it before chinese new year? Ohh wait... When exactly is CNY? Hahaha... Nvm... I didn't bother checking.

I wanna go on a holiday!!!
This year isn't looking too good. I don't think I'll be able to take leave due to the peak season in the retail calendar.

What's Happening?

Not too happy with some arrangements. But I'm not gonna voice out anything yet. Just gonna keep a low profile about it and act blur. Wait till the end of this month... If my plan goes smoothly, then I'll go grill people.

They say there are 3 groups of people.
1) Those who make things happen.
2) Those who wait for things to happen.
3) Those who don't know what is happening.

I think I belong to (3) thus I will end up belonging to (2) in some way. What to do?
Its just like the human body. If the brain (which belongs to (1)) doesn't send signals to other parts of the body, say the arms. What will the arms do? Of course wait for instructions to be given right?

Cranked Up

Didn't exactly have a good sleep last night. I woke with a pain in my left eye for whatever reason, I don't know. There seems to be nothing on the outside which looks abnormal. Feeling for any bumps and it feels normal. Only if I blink or just press gently would I feel the pain.

Maybe that explains why I was kinda cranky the whole day. Its like something irritating me within me. Plus other people who irritate the hell out of me.

My handphone came.. I went down to collect it from my aunt. Then I went to the front counter for a seat and to check out my new hp. Then this auntie came to do some amendments for her don't know who's exam registration. She saw me opening with my hp and started asking me questions. I was so engrossed that I didn't even hear her until Gen repeated the question to me. But this auntie damn lor soh can? There I was playin my new hp, then she is there asking why I need three phones (one was my aunt's, two are mine). Am I intending to trade in, how much can I get. Aunt was there, so she was like being friendly and telling that auntie that my current hp was barely a month old.
BIG MISTAKE!
She went on and on and on about stuff like how youngters nowadays are so caught up with these kind of hp. Asking why must I change my hp which I used for such short duration. Aiyo.. She was equivalent to an irritating housefly buzzing trying to attack your food when you are just so hungry. There I was so eager to check out my hp, there she was asking questions which weren't any of her business.
She even proceeded to say, "come show me your phone..." I still want to play my new hp lor.. So I just passed her the other one. Touch touch finish, took aunt's hp. Aunt was also getting rather irritated with her. Next she wanted to see my new hp lor.. KPO CAN?

She was so super irritating that at some point, I just decided to simply ignore her. Pretending that I don't know what she was asking. Then when she repeated her question, I'll just mumbled some answer.


At work, my colleagues were asking me how far am I away from sales target. They wanna give me sales so that I can hit. I told them its ok cause its beyond hope.

Hmm.. Ok I mentioned before the store is going through this price tag conversion. I wrote the wrong price and it was 2 bucks lesser. Anyway, the other manager told me, "aiyah, don't bother lah. so small amount only." Anyway, this conversion thing is really getting on my nerves la. I got scolded by the cashier during 2 transactions today just because of the stupid barcode.

First of all, I don't understand how these people can be so nice to customers, then when they turn and talk to you standing right beside them, their tone changes and become more nasty. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all cashiers are like that. The 3 cashiers I usually go to are nice people. They talk nicely and are more civilised. I've worked in 3 stores already. Bound to have the nice and nasty ones.

In the 1st stored I worked in, one of them was described as 'sibei guai lan'. So maybe cause I'm new, so they would wanna bully.
In the 2nd store, the one who scolded me as was labeled as 'damn one kind'.
In the 3rd store, I would say that one didn't scold me but was damn unhelpful.

Anyway, usually if they scold, nag or say some scarastic things, I wouldn't bother. I'd either reply with a 'orh' and give the whatever look, or I'll like try to reason back nicely.

But today, the 'one kind' cashier picked the wrong day to bully a newbie. Customer wanted to buy a lipstick. So happened that the piece I took did not have the new price tag and I didn't realise it till I went to the cashier and she wanted to scan.
She (raising her voice): "where is the new price tag?!?!?"
Me: "ohh sorry.." (Run back to counter to find. Rol wrote for me and I ran back.)
She (typing): "WRONG LOR!!!"
Tried a few more times while I ran back to counter again to reconfirm with Rol. Took the price tag list to her and ask her to type from there.
She: "STILL WRONG LOR!"
Me: "Then no choice, you scan the old code first."
She: "Why your EVERYTIME like that ar? Got new code don't want to use."
All these happened in front of the customer.
Rol who came to see why cannot use that new code, heard what she said became buay song. Couldn't resist saying cause she didn't give us some face, "What to do? We give your code, your either do wrong or take so long to do. What do you expect us to do?"
I think she was damn unhappy someone said her back in front of a customer who she was acting all chummy with.

Second time she scolded me, was also very sway. The usual cashier I'll go to wasn't around. I had to go to 'one kind's' counter again. Customer bought 3 items. Only 1 had barcode, the other 2 was out of stock but she had to pay first cause she wanted to use the voucher. So I wrote the barcode of those items down. She scanned the first.
Me: Plus these 2 which you have to type the code.
She: Where?
Me (Points to the code): These 2!
She (Trying to be irritating): Then this one leh? Where is the barcode?
Me: This is the one you scanned.
She: So which one is the code?
Me: I'm telling you to type this item lor.
She: PRICE?
Me: $xx...

She: WRITE PROPERLY LAH!

She don't give me face in front of customer, I also won't bother giving her face.
Me (raise voice slightly): I ALREADY WRITE VERY CLEARLY HOR!
She: Why your still cannot use the new code.. Later your stock not balance blah blah blah...
Me: NEVER MIND LOR!
Kinda slammed my hand on the counter when I wanted to take the memo. Think she saw it.. Think she was fuming mad that the person she thought she could push around suddenly talked right back in her face. In front of people she was trying to act nice and friendly with.
Anyway, I don't give a cow's ass damn bout her.

I can't wait to get back to work. I wanna see if she will still try to raise her voice at me if the new barcode still not there.
I ain't no pushover lor...

Customer who doesn't know much bout makeup came with a voucher worth $150 to use. She was like super fickle minded. They took damn long to just decide between 2 nail polishes. I was all alone on that level doing sales closing. Kaoz...

Ok... Enough ranting. I don't wish to have other irritating things to mention. Just these 3 within a day is more than enough for me to handle.

Discounts Make Me Spend

Well... 10 days gone just like that. Tomorrow I'll be back at my counter.
Time just flies like that.

Ohh and my pay came early. I went to collect my limited edition items which I reserved.

Brownie Shimmer Brick. I was so tempted to get it the last time it was launched. But it was sold out. So this time, I had to get it!
It looks extremely good on medium skin people.


Lip Duo. I took Malted Lip Color + Pink Pudding Shimmer Lip Gloss. Not in the pic though..
Natural looking. Not too heavy to wear alone on casual days.


Chocolate Eye Palette. Oh my oh my... This one was wiped off the shelves within a week after official launch. It is THAT popular wor... Lucky I managed to get one of it before its back on shelves for the second launch.



Fancl was also having discount. 20% storewide. Bought 2 bottles of the cleansing oil, stock up mah... Then also bought the eye cream to try. After all, the eye cream can only last bout 2 months. By then, hopefully I'll be able to get another round of staff purchase or free cos so I don't have to spend more.

All in all, the total damage done was 223 bucks!
Haiyo... This month can eat grass already lah!

After I paid for the Fancl items, I realised that they consolidate the items. So I don't know if the security would allow me to bring it out or not. Somemore today last day there. Sms Ade to see if she was around town. Lucky she & Ken were somewhere pretty nearby. They came to pick it up and waited for me to knock off.

Tomorrow my new hp will be delivered to aunt's office. Yippeee!

OH! Today there was this super irritating customer who asked the most bo liao questions. She made me so pek cek to answer her lame question over and over again, I ended up being scarastic.

Tempting Limited Editions

I actually said this to a customer. "I think you don't buy la... Just go bare face."
Wahaha...
In a nice but scarastic manner of course!

She came to buy loose powder cause according to her friend, one shouldn't apply lipstick without having powder on the face.
She's bout 40+, her skin is dry and shine free. Plus she doesn't use foundation. So buy powder to apply for what sia?
To mattify? No need mah..
To set foundation? Foundation? What foundation?

Anyway, it was peak hour and I was all alone. So I had a LOT of customers to handle at one time. Proceeded on to show that its ok to apply lipstick without powder. Then there she was just taking her own sweet time to think (that never mind), she kept on coming to me and whine lor. Eg. "Ehh... How ar? I can't decide leh. This colour looks too strong."

Tried about 3 over colours and all she said she don't like cause they look like she got something on her lips.
Each time its applied, she would go like "eee... I don't like. The colour feels too strong."
Ok that never mind. I gave her just those crystal gloss. No colour mah. Just shine. Again she says the gloss is too red. Thats it lor... I don't want to serve her anymore. Since even the most natural one she also feels made up, might as well don't waste my time.
I was so so tempted to say, "Madm, why don't you go do lip bleaching? Get rid of your natural lip colour." But instead, I put it nicely and told her to go bare face.


Ok... I know I'm mean. But what to do? Too many potential customers waiting around and this one is waste of time. Defintely got to find a nice way to put across the meaning, and being scarastic is just so my kinda style. Wahahahaa...


Wah liaoooo!!! Jav told me that there is actually a 15% sale for staff in the cosmetic dept of another store. My gosh la... I was so tempted that I went to call them up and ask me to help me reserve the limited edition stuff. Heh heh...
So last minute... I don't even have time save up for it then I gotta collect it latest by sunday. My pay isn't in yet! ARghhh!

The Day I Cried

While working today, I cried. In front of customers somemore lor.
Nabei...
One gave me the weird stare. Another which was unhappy over some unsettled issue with another person, gave me the what-did-I-do-wrong look. I think other people thought I was scolded or something. Cause I so happened to be sniffing due to a stuffed nose also.

Truth is, my left eye had tears flowing due to some irritation caused by the lens. It felt like my eyeballs were being poked! Huurr...
Why wasn't it my right eye instead? At least I could have used fringe to cover lor.

Heh heh... I won't cry so easily one la... Unless I'm doing it on cue.

Anyway, manager has to take early leave to go give birth. That's bout 2 weeks earlier than expected wor. Wonder how's she doing. Now we're left with two people manning the counter till sunday. Haiz... Which means, I get all the afternoon shifts till sunday. Ohh aiya.. Monday go back own counter also afternoon. No diff sia.

Don't Bluff Me

Sigh... So since the other desktop crashed. I had no choice but to spend my off day finding the old copy of it. But its not the latest so I have more work to do. Made an arrangement to go Godma's house to use the floppy drive cause my com doesn't have. Bahh... I was late cause I was searching for the cd which I distinctively remembered backing up from my laptop.

So ok, I reached there around 1plus. Watched 'Oprah' interviewing James Blunt on cable. Think this is a really backdated episode cause the songs were hits like long long ago.

Had lunch bout 2pm. I couldn't decide what I want to eat. Not because there were too many choices but because everything didn't seem appealing to my appetite. Settled for Thai food but to me, it wasn't exactly nice.

Back to her place to do get my stuff done. Then I went off to meet Viv. I wanted to go down to the event at the atrium to check out how the style of workshop would be conducted plus to kpo who got highest sales as well as to pass Liz some documents.

My goodness!! They all look extremely tired tafter 6 days doing this event. One of them who is originally skinny, now seems to have lost weight and looks even more skinny. I told her by the last day of this event, she better hope for good weather. If there's strong wind, she'll probably get blown away.

Justin also came down to join us for a short while. Slacked at Coffee Bean. Hmm... I drank a cup of mocha latte for erm... dinner. Till now I don't feel like eating anything. My mind tells me its time for dinner but my nose finds the smell of food unappealing.


On a totally different note... (This didn't happen today.. But it was still sometime this week)
I also don't like people who wants me to do them a favour and they bluff hide the truth from me lor.
I'm not born yesterday, so I can sense it and I don't like that feeling cause it feels like I'm being made use of. I will help my friends with things as long as its within my capability.

But of course, if its something that you need my help but cannot tell me why, then just tell nicely la. I'm not that unreasonable that I'll grab a knife and threaten you to tell.

Or if you really must must must bluff me then at least come up with a better reason can? Cause when I actually make assumptions based on the lame reason, I will feel its not justified for me to spend time doing whatever favour for you. I may find ways and means to either avoid it, or deliberately do it in another way.

So if things/favours I do don't go as expected, then... I'd ask, "is that any of my business?"
Ain't as obliging as I used to be already (only to some people la...).

Com crashed!

I've now tried working at 3 different locations already. Actually I find that I like this current now best. But too bad la, its only gonna be for a short 2 weeks. I wouldn't mind sticking there for a while more cause the crowd flow is way way better. Believe it or not, there are a lot of times when I'd talk to customers, one after another that I don't even have time to drink water. Other times, I'll be just talking to Jav to pass time. Very interesting to talk to him wor. Its like an endless flow of topics. Pretty much can ask almost about anything.

Muahaha... Now that I'm not at the promo event, Liz got nobody to disturb. Heard its pretty stressful over there, so its a blessing I'm transferred out of there for the time being.

Anyway, damn the stupid store lah... Wanna convert price tag, don't want to do a proper job. Just now I actually wrote the wrong price lor. I wrote 2 bucks lesser. I only found out when I was keying it into the system.
Now I don't know if I would need to top up the difference or not. Damn it!

I was supposed to help my dad type some stuff last night. His com crashed and I couldn't find the backup copy. So I had to go back to like the old school way of using the typewriter. Super irritating cause there was hardly room for error or I had to go through a lot of trouble correcting the other copies.

Major Gatherings

Friday night, Py came to meet me after work. Since it was the weekends, 2 of my ex colleagues also dropped by my counter. So it was like another major gathering cause in the end there were like 7 of us.

Night activity last night was also fun. Had another major gathering with my uber noisy good friends. It was supposed to be supper where those who said they didn't want to eat also ended up eating.

Everything was rather peaceful initially. Talking and eating while being seated. But after the digi cam came out, it was noise, laughter and flashlights aplenty. We kept on retaking cause some pics were very unflattering. HAAHAAHAA!!!

I realised that a lot of our pictures, the backgrounds are all not nice! But what to do? We always go budget mah.. Budget means meet up around where we stay at night (to save on cab fare back) and cannot be too ex place to eat.

That aside, after meeting up with Py on friday, we were talking bout how her friends couldn't recognize her when she shows them her primary or secondary school pics. I remember Hj also laughing at me cause of that. She said I sort of underwent "Extreme Makeover".
So anyway!! That sparked off the search for old pics. Py sent me a group pic taken when we went for the bbq in sec 1. I wasn't in that pic cause I was taking it. Not only did I have a good laugh back at Hj, I also laughed at all in the pic. Everyone was so nerdy last time.

I went to search for pics and ohhmann I was a big time nerd lor. Haiyo... Its so unbelieveable. Even Shnap, who was over at my place walked into my room and saw the pic on the screen, was erm... shocked/surprised/lost for words?

Ok.. Anyway, us with the lousy backgroud and messy table.

But thats ok... Its the people that matter. =)
