Thumper

Went clubbing last night with Pumpkini & Jor at Thumper.

The minimum age for ladies is 23, guys I think its 25. Luckily they didn't check my I/C, otherwise, I won't be able to go enter.

Anyway, I did feel a bit weird cause everyone else was like so much older. There were lots of those office people, some even look like they are in their late 40's. Those times when I went other clubs and I saw someone who is in their late 40's dancing, I'll be going like, "my gosh... don't they need to go home and rest?" Hahahaha... Now I feel like if people saw me there, they would be going, "my gosh... what's this kiddo doing here?"

Hmm.. But I guess with an older crowd, the people tend not to be so impulsive in their drinking to the extend of puking and disgusting everyone around them. I saw people who were highly drunk and dancing away; yet they didn't puke.
Its so unlike the other clubs where those people would be binging on drinks as a way to make a status that they can drink a lot, half an hour later, you see them in the hogging the toilets, by the roadside, at the seating area puking their guts out.
If they were trying to entertain clients so that they can seal a thousand/million/billion bucks deal, perhaps its understandable cause you don't want to lose the client. But why do clubbers whose main purpose is to drink and dance, drink excessively? To make merry perhaps. Then only to puke it all out and got the burning sensation or the 'going-to-die' feeling. How merry is that? Ironic.

Anyway, back to Thumper...
Alternating between a live band and those hit songs. The band was hyper and could really get the crowd grooving! The music was good too. The only thing was that its too loud. I think it was louder than the normal clubbing volume (which is already quite loud). So goes without saying lah, I was partially deaf by the 2nd hour I stayed inside.

We were playing 5-10 and we had to shout and yet, it was still hard to hear. So I was like lip reading. Hahah...

Oh... Then the 2 of them went to the dance floor and I didn't want to go. They were standing there and signalling me to go down. I didn't want cause nobody was looking after the drinks, so I was like shaking my head. Then this ang moh who happened to be standing next to them also started to gesture me to go. I continued to just say no. Then he walked over and asked me why I don't want to go down. I said later.. Guess what he said? He said, "ok.. Promise?" Its like lame lah!!! Goodness!

Pumpkini's husband came to fetch her home. So sweet right? Let the wife go out and club while he stays at home to wait for her to call and pick her up. Made a detour to send me & Jor back too.

Anyway, how many husbands would allow their wife to dress up and go clubbing? Hmm... Ok I don't know that many married couples. But boyfriends... How many would allow? I know a few, but they probably tell their girlfriends, "you are not allowed to dance with other guys, cannot wear too revealing, cannot drink too much." Of course, I also know a lot who will say "NO! You can only go clubbing if I go with you."
I guess its how much trust has been built and how strong the bond between the couple before the guy is secure enough to allow the lady to go party like that.
Right?
