I woke up early so that I won't be late to meet Py. We're supposed to go down to our old workplace, I wanted to collect some documents, she can meet ex colleagues for lunch.
Then came a call, she said she would be late. Ha... So I had bout 45mins to rot at home. Decided to go apply make up. Then, I think I was distracted or didn't like the result then I redo.
Ended up I was late. Haha...
We met up with our ex colleagues, went for lunch at this place which serves those expensive chinese delicacies at a low price. Those items like 'Buddha Jump Over The Wall', 'Shark's Fin', Abalone and other stuff.
So for $4.90, I had this set which came with 'sharks fin, scallop and chicken soup', choice of udon or hor fun with abalone sauce (I had the hor fun only to find out much later that udon cost more) and a dessert. Free flow of chinese tea as well.
The soup was quite nice, but... I thought its supposed to be sharks fin? I saw more fish maw instead. Not exactly my favourite but just eat lah... Don't waste cause it was a generous portion of fish maw. Other than that, I would definitely say its quite worth its price.
They all kept saying they brought me to this place before. But how come I don't recall. Hmm... Memory failing me or maybe I order a dish not to my liking the other time?
Anyway, went back to the office to hang around for a while till we need to leave for movie.
It was then, I saw the damn ugly side of Singaporeans.
See, there was this man, who came to collect his certificate on behalf of someone. But the cert was not for the previous exam, it was for the exam taken around 3 years ago. So obviously my colleague said that those more than 3 years have been destroyed. But she told him to wait, while she got another person to go check the system for the exact session of exam. So since the stupid man can't even remember when his whoever went to take the exam, of course he should just wait while we try to search through the system.
But no... He had to start screaming and shouting. I still think he is mental case.
"Why can't you be more helpful? At least go and find right? How can your just throw away people's cert like that? Don't you know how hard people work just to get the cert? Then your just throw it away like that? Bloody shit... Do you know how hard is it to get parking in this area? I park illegally you know, then I come up to collect the cert and you tell me its thrown away?!?!?! What the hell... &($*#(%*#%#)%*()#)@_%*&$*%@"
Me and Py just stood there to watch the drama. It was pretty hilarious seeing him get so worked up. Lucky I didn't get this kind of bastard who trys to vent anger on me during the time I was working there, reason being; they find it hard to get parking and parked illegally. I can deal with fussy customers, but I cannot deal with a customer who takes anger out on me just cause they did something illegal and guilty conscience bugging them.
Seeing my colleague (well, ex lah) being shouted at, doesn't make me feel good. It just makes you wanna shut him up by shouting, "auntie (traffic police ladies) come already...!!" He'll probably just drop everything and run down just to plead and whimper to the auntie to give him chance.
No, but seriously, it was shouting nonsence! I really felt like saying in a nice but scarastic way, "Eh, hello sir, if your cert was so important to you, why do you have to wait more than 3 years to come and collect it?"
The usual crap people would reply when you say that is, "Ohh cause I shifted house so I didn't get the letter to come and collect."
Which will bring me back to the same sentence, "if it was really so important to you, you should have updated us with your new address immediately. Or, called like 1 year after the exam instead of 3?
So the point is that he is just taking his anger out on my colleague. Stupid man... Still said wanna complain for bad service. Was given the contact for the boss and the regional boss. Haha.. Ya.. Go ahead, see who laughs last. I bet the reply he will get will be, I'm sorry that you didn't get your certifcate, however, it is company policy that we destroy certificates not claimed after 3 years (we're not your store room where you come as and when you need the cert). If you do need the certificate, please pay $20 for a duplicate certificate as this is through no fault of the company's.
Then he left, came back short while later to vent more crude words. Then left. I was laughing! Why? Cause today the police patroling around the area was higher than usual due to some big shot. Park illegally? Hahaha... Summon lor... Still come back shout somemore, delay time.
Ohh.. He still dared to say his wife dare not come cause she found the staff not helpful. I'm sure lah... Henpeck say henpeck lah.. My gosh...
After he left, another ugly Singaporean (USg) who was there while the earlier drama happened, sort of wanted to add on to the complain. Like hey, someone voiced out something, I also wanna chap ji kah. Another colleague (Co) entertained him.
USg: "Err excuse me ar... Can I make a suggestion?"
Co: "Yes?"
USg: "I think that there are not enough chairs in the reception area."
Co: "Thats because another side will use the chairs for their functions."
USg: "Ohh but I still think your should add more chairs. Cause you are a representive of blah blah."
I think my colleague felt like slapping his bald head. Do you walk into a company and expect 10 chairs? Think what audition ar? Will it kill you to stand just because your daughter decides to write so slowly?
1 stupid, 1 unreasonable, how dramatic can it get? Ohh well, according to my personality DNA report, I do have a low empathy...
After the commotion, me and Py decided we had enough drama for the day, time to go watch our movie. So we walked to Marina Square to meet Cf. Then met up with Sw & her bf. Bought tidbits and went to watch Big Mommas House 2. Its damn funny, especially if you get some of their jokes. There were some distraction. Tsk tsk...
Came out to walk around before heading off to eat Carl's Jr. Full, full, full! The couple left us but we stayed on to continue our juicy gossip. Hahah... So san ba. But we felt we shouldn't stay there anymore, we should start finding the bus stop to take the bus back home. Then we felt that we were too full to sit on the bus for the more than half hour journey and we should take a walk around first. Intended to go Esplanade for some sea breeze. But we detoured till Marina Promenade. Then we couldn't find a nice spot where we won't disturb couples who were busyin making out. So we kept on walking and walking and walking. Till it was like "aiyah... too far to walk back, lets just walk in front and see where this path takes us."
So yes, this is a picture of our route.
Its the red line... Ignore the blue line...

Wow... That journey from Marina Square to somewhere around The Concourse was close to 3km! Before we reached the bus stop where if we had taken the bus, it would probably be the 5th bus stop. Hahahaa....
What a big detour. Lots of san ba-ing along the way. =P
