Maybe that explains why I was kinda cranky the whole day. Its like something irritating me within me. Plus other people who irritate the hell out of me.
My handphone came.. I went down to collect it from my aunt. Then I went to the front counter for a seat and to check out my new hp. Then this auntie came to do some amendments for her don't know who's exam registration. She saw me opening with my hp and started asking me questions. I was so engrossed that I didn't even hear her until Gen repeated the question to me. But this auntie damn lor soh can? There I was playin my new hp, then she is there asking why I need three phones (one was my aunt's, two are mine). Am I intending to trade in, how much can I get. Aunt was there, so she was like being friendly and telling that auntie that my current hp was barely a month old.
BIG MISTAKE!
She went on and on and on about stuff like how youngters nowadays are so caught up with these kind of hp. Asking why must I change my hp which I used for such short duration. Aiyo.. She was equivalent to an irritating housefly buzzing trying to attack your food when you are just so hungry. There I was so eager to check out my hp, there she was asking questions which weren't any of her business.
She even proceeded to say, "come show me your phone..." I still want to play my new hp lor.. So I just passed her the other one. Touch touch finish, took aunt's hp. Aunt was also getting rather irritated with her. Next she wanted to see my new hp lor.. KPO CAN?
She was so super irritating that at some point, I just decided to simply ignore her. Pretending that I don't know what she was asking. Then when she repeated her question, I'll just mumbled some answer.
At work, my colleagues were asking me how far am I away from sales target. They wanna give me sales so that I can hit. I told them its ok cause its beyond hope.
Hmm.. Ok I mentioned before the store is going through this price tag conversion. I wrote the wrong price and it was 2 bucks lesser. Anyway, the other manager told me, "aiyah, don't bother lah. so small amount only." Anyway, this conversion thing is really getting on my nerves la. I got scolded by the cashier during 2 transactions today just because of the stupid barcode.
First of all, I don't understand how these people can be so nice to customers, then when they turn and talk to you standing right beside them, their tone changes and become more nasty. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all cashiers are like that. The 3 cashiers I usually go to are nice people. They talk nicely and are more civilised. I've worked in 3 stores already. Bound to have the nice and nasty ones.
In the 1st stored I worked in, one of them was described as 'sibei guai lan'. So maybe cause I'm new, so they would wanna bully.
In the 2nd store, the one who scolded me as was labeled as 'damn one kind'.
In the 3rd store, I would say that one didn't scold me but was damn unhelpful.
Anyway, usually if they scold, nag or say some scarastic things, I wouldn't bother. I'd either reply with a 'orh' and give the whatever look, or I'll like try to reason back nicely.
But today, the 'one kind' cashier picked the wrong day to bully a newbie. Customer wanted to buy a lipstick. So happened that the piece I took did not have the new price tag and I didn't realise it till I went to the cashier and she wanted to scan.
She (raising her voice): "where is the new price tag?!?!?"
Me: "ohh sorry.." (Run back to counter to find. Rol wrote for me and I ran back.)
She (typing): "WRONG LOR!!!"
Tried a few more times while I ran back to counter again to reconfirm with Rol. Took the price tag list to her and ask her to type from there.
She: "STILL WRONG LOR!"
Me: "Then no choice, you scan the old code first."
She: "Why your EVERYTIME like that ar? Got new code don't want to use."
All these happened in front of the customer.
Rol who came to see why cannot use that new code, heard what she said became buay song. Couldn't resist saying cause she didn't give us some face, "What to do? We give your code, your either do wrong or take so long to do. What do you expect us to do?"
I think she was damn unhappy someone said her back in front of a customer who she was acting all chummy with.
Second time she scolded me, was also very sway. The usual cashier I'll go to wasn't around. I had to go to 'one kind's' counter again. Customer bought 3 items. Only 1 had barcode, the other 2 was out of stock but she had to pay first cause she wanted to use the voucher. So I wrote the barcode of those items down. She scanned the first.
Me: Plus these 2 which you have to type the code.
She: Where?
Me (Points to the code): These 2!
She (Trying to be irritating): Then this one leh? Where is the barcode?
Me: This is the one you scanned.
She: So which one is the code?
Me: I'm telling you to type this item lor.
She: PRICE?
Me: $xx...
She: WRITE PROPERLY LAH!
She don't give me face in front of customer, I also won't bother giving her face.
Me (raise voice slightly): I ALREADY WRITE VERY CLEARLY HOR!
She: Why your still cannot use the new code.. Later your stock not balance blah blah blah...
Me: NEVER MIND LOR!
Kinda slammed my hand on the counter when I wanted to take the memo. Think she saw it.. Think she was fuming mad that the person she thought she could push around suddenly talked right back in her face. In front of people she was trying to act nice and friendly with.
Anyway, I don't give a cow's ass damn bout her.
I can't wait to get back to work. I wanna see if she will still try to raise her voice at me if the new barcode still not there.
I ain't no pushover lor...
Customer who doesn't know much bout makeup came with a voucher worth $150 to use. She was like super fickle minded. They took damn long to just decide between 2 nail polishes. I was all alone on that level doing sales closing. Kaoz...
Ok... Enough ranting. I don't wish to have other irritating things to mention. Just these 3 within a day is more than enough for me to handle.
